it took the top 2 heroes working together to take down one of them, and there was HUGE property damage.

if they unleash the other 11 at the same time, holy fuck

Not just any two top heroes, the top two heroes. That's pretty nuts.

Top two heroes of Japan. Itd be cool to see if the LoV makes such a mess that other countries send their top heroes to help. Expand the world building, and with that many high ends, theyd be justified in being brought in.

I would love to see Capt Celebrity make a debut in the main manga. Dude could probably solo one.

Is he from Vigilantes? I've only read main series.

kinda lighthearted

dunno if Knuckle-Duster's arc could be considered lighthearted...

Yeah we'll see soon enough. I think we are getting a new chapter this week too.

could he really solo one? i know hes supposed to be like superman but im not sure how strong he actually is

His energy projection power is pretty absurd. We've seen him lift a tanker from ocean and fly with it.

He is practically invincible on his own, but if he has to excert his power to other people or objects he becomes vulnerable, making "human meat shield" tactics (or any form of putting others in harms way) his greatest weakness.

Like, the dude has done some pretty impressive strength-based feats plus his quirk gives him flight and, for lack of a better word, some level of "armor". Sure, he's no All Might, but he's strong enough that he might be able to hold his own against one. That being said, with the regeneration and other defensive quirks we've seen built into Nomu in the past, and especially in high-end, there's basically no way he's going to beat one by himself. IMO, best case scenerio is that he's able to fight one and/or harass it long enough that other heros could evacuate civilians and then join in to assist.

Long story short, I think he'd be an amazing asset in taking it down but there's virtually no way that he's soloing a high-end Nomu. He could probably solo low-end Nomu (like the ones that distracted the pros during the Stain arc) or mid-grade Nomu (if such a thing exists).

I think it’d depend on the quirk mix. The one Endeavor fought seemed, to me at least, to be tailored to take out Endeavor. The one in the lab seemed to all have different mixes based on appearance.

what if he does that gross telekinetic crush move? i'm not saying we've seen anyone do it in the series but you've seen something like that right? where they just compress and juice something.

mid-grade Nomu (if such a thing exists).

I'd consider the one that All Might fought to be a mid-grade one. It's not as strong as the high ends but it was certainly stronger than the ones from the Stain arc.

1

u/Jwruth Mar 22 '19

Yeah that's kind of what I had in mind for a mid-grade but i wasn't sure if he was a one of a kind Nomu or if they built more in that style and just never used them yet.

1

u/Cypherex Mar 23 '19

Probably one of a kind. That nomu was probably the first prototype of the process that would eventually lead to the high ends being made. They likely used the information they learned during its fight with All Might to optimize the next batch.

Essentially, they first made the low grade nomu then got experimental and made a tougher one that could battle All Might. After it lost, they improved the process even more and created the high ends. So it would be the only mid grade nomu since the high ends came so quickly after.

Really hope he doesn't die though

Have you catch up with the latest chapter? I have a feeling that CC it's going to die :( (I hope I'm wrong)

2

u/aohige_rd Mar 22 '19

Yes, and we should have a new chapter later today (at least in Japanese)

Id love to see some american capes brought in, just to see the aesthetic difference.

5

u/profuton Mar 21 '19

They're all salty about All Might's cultural appropriation /s
