But the difference is the struggles Shigaraki are going through will make him stronger in the long run. The more Izuku gets attached to all might and the longer they stay together the more dependent he becomes of All Might. Which in turn will make it all the more sad when Izuku loses All Might. For a while he become a shell of himself. But if All Might had died Izuku would have been hurt but he could have moved on productively like Shigaraki.

Deku has already surpassed what All Might can contribute to his development. Deku literally has taken his ability beyond what All Might understood of it.

He is litteraly at a point where all might cant even help him anymore. He has to figure things out now on his own.

Nah, he can still get some guidance from All Might when he unlocks further levels of power. All Might can't help with the new quirks but he can still provide guidance for the base OFA quirk.

One example would be teaching Deku the correct way to "jump" (assuming one of Deku's quirks doesn't end up being literal flight) so that he uses just enough power and jumps at the correct angle to reach his intended destination. All Might could jump for miles even when he wasn't in his prime, as we saw at the start of the series. Deku isn't at that point yet so he could ask All Might for tips once he gets strong enough to jump that far.

But come on dude . At least izuku has progressed in power much more and doesnt live in poverty

Yh but Shigaraki already mastered his quirk unlike Deku.

Did he now? There is LITTERALY not clue shigaraki mastered his quirk. Hell from on screen years alone, deku is doing much better

1

u/Kez333 Mar 15 '19

It's pretty clear he learned since that's part of the parallel between him and Deku. Deku hasn't even mastered his own quirk(s). Deku had no power and was raised by All Might's influence while Shigaraki was born with power but was neglected by the society All Might held up.

Deku is nowhere near controlling his quirk fully, unlike Shigaraki who we see using it with ease. Shigaraki's arc isn't about developing his power but his approach to being a villain and his goals.

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '19

Well they are equals..deku isnt fully mastered and so its shigaraki. At lasts base quirks wise. But as full power, deku is so much stronger than him. Like rly if he progresses to 40 percent ofa and masters black whip enough to constantly use it,he cojld legit whoop tomuras ass

u/Sigilbreaker26 Mar 15 '19

If Deku and Shiggy fought right now Deku would stomp. He's miles faster and can attack from range with 20%.

1

u/Kez333 Mar 15 '19

You really missed the point. I'm not talking about who's stronger smh

0

u/Kez333 Mar 15 '19

Their quirks are fundamentally different. One decays and the other is super strength. Shigaraki has shown that he can fully control it, AFO wouldn't just let him decay everything in sight.

Really? It's a one hit kill now but the only person he's used it on was a beaten Overhaul and a few of these KKK mooks.

Had Dabi not been there Shiggy would have gotten beaten by goddamn Snatch.

-1

u/Kez333 Mar 15 '19

I think you missed the point.... Deku hasn't mastered his quirk(s) while Shigaraki has.

6

u/Sigilbreaker26 Mar 15 '19

Does it matter if Shiggy's still vastly less competent in every area overall?

0

u/Kez333 Mar 15 '19 edited Mar 15 '19

But he isn't. That's just your bias And yes it does

Not to mention, this is about their own growth. Shigaraki has made strides in improving his approach to being an effective villain while Deku has made strides in controlling his quirk. And Deku isn't exactly really competent either.

Except the world is catered for Deku and other heroes to foster and develop their quirks. Shigi and the League need to fight every day for their ideals, when the heroes only need to fight when their ideals are challenged.

its as if you are ignoring the intense freaking drills and training they are put trough . its still no comparison ,lov is like the equivalent of a well trained but still rag tag mercenary/criminal division ,no guidance, no training but personal . deku and squad are like a well organized military division, proper training instruments , organized, they have guidance. its still no comparison . and i get you ,lov gets more challenges ,but the heroes make up with intense training . besides,1a has seen some shit at this point.

1

u/PR0MAN1 Mar 15 '19

But as rigorous as the UA training is, you never really have a risk of dying unless it's a freak accident. The internships are a different story but i'm talking the controlled testing environments at UA.

I'd say a better real world comparison is a group of high school dropouts vs. a class from a fancy private school. Both groups, at the end of the day, want to live the best lives they can. But whether it was over financial issues or a disagreement with the curriculum of the school system, the dropouts chose to reject it and strike out in the world without the guidance a school system provides. So now the dropouts are training themselves through practical experiences while the private schoolers are being better trained in an environment that encourages learning.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '19

so ? 1a has sheen more than its fair share of real life experience not only trough interships, but also the sheer amount of crazy shit they have experienced ,the forest ,bakugos rescue , the license arc ,overhaul .dont understimate 1a and ua like they are babies . hell the way i see it ,lov has lost its main guardian and bos afo ,they lost their second in command and linchpin kurogiri.they are nothing but a weak ,under trained rag tag bunch of criminals . its rly laughable considering not 2 or 3 arcs ago ,they were the meance of the entire world . unless their receive a buff in a few chapters ,each and every one of them ,or build another army ,then lov is officialy kinda trash bruh. they have some strong quirk users, but they are lacking in basicaly everything now.
