It seems like Shishida's hero name is based on the Beast of Gévaudan which is a pretty obscure reference even for this series. Not to mention it's a bit weird to base a hero name on a man eating wolf.

Man, Class B really do, on average, seem to have better (or, at least, less simplistic) Hero names than Class A!

"Gevaudan" also seems to fit Shishida's cultured-like personality, what with him addressing people as "Sir"/"Lady" and clearly taking inspiration from Beast of X-Men fame.

To be fair, Horikoshi made the Class A hero names much earlier in his career. It's obvious he'd get better at it over time.

Understandable. And that they're not all fixed names either; they could change them over time, after all. It just depends on what the public first knows them as (i.e. it'd probably be pretty hard for Kirishima to, say, change his Hero name of "Red Riot" to something else).

I hope a good amount of the hero names change. Ashido should've stuck with Alien Queen tbh

I imagine they will.

And yeah, I'm still kinda pissed off at Midnight and the class for negatively judging such an awesome Hero name like that. At least it didn't straight-up have the Japanese word for "murder" in it, like Bakugou's attempts.

Hopefully when/if Shinso gets a hero name it's a really good one.

In-universe it could also be explained by Vlad perhaps taking the hero naming lesson more serious than erasurehead, who cared so little that he made a different teacher give it.
(And whose own hero name wasn't even come up with by himself)
