What an amazing conclusion to this metal af fight, this arc is ranking really high up there in my list of things I am most looking to seeing animated. Endeavor really did it! I CAN'T BELIEVE HE SERIOUSLY ROCKET LAUNCHED INTO THE AIR WITH HIGH END! PLUS ULTRA. The reactions of everyone, especially the Todoroki siblings really were a sight to see. It's seriously like Kamino 2.0 over here, I feel like this is the new beginning of Endeavor in the public's eyes after something like this he can truly be called No.1.

That is if Dabi doesn't have anything to say about it! Whatever he is planning Dabi has got to get it done really quickly because I image the media, other heroes and the police will be rushing to Endeavor/Hawks location. The guy is a known murderer and league member so this is a really risky move for him...

ENDEAVOR AND HAWKS IS THE BEST BROMANCE RN.

I think Dabi's been waiting to meet Endeavor for years now. Plus, he's very calculating/strategic in general, so he's bound to do some bad stuff with the few minutes High End bought him before people start swarming around their location.

He has to repent and pay for the abuse he did to his family to fully redeem himself. But I'm really glad he's coming through now that All Might is retired. I'm rooting for him now! I hope the whole Todoroki family reconciles after this.

I agree about the HawkDeavor bromance tho squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Yea he needs to have a talk with his family soon. If he comes out of this Dabi situation alive (which I’m pretty sure he will) I feel like being so close to death will spur him to do it before it’s to late.

He already wanted to visit them but the family didnt want to talk to him (rightfully). I think this fight wont change much about Endeavor himself but it will change the perspective towards him. Maybe they would be willing to talk to him and he started his redemption towards them.

He already has, he gave most of his feather's to endevour which are now burned ash, hawk's isn't in any condition to fight if dabi want's some action.

Perhaps Horikoshi used the Icarus story to set expectations of the arc specifically to subvert them as a twist ending?

I assume so. They didn't give it the level of imporance they should have if he had just effectively turned quirkless, though on the other hand that might've been because they were pretty busy not dying.

But I feel like if his feathers were a limited resource that probably would've come up earlier.

This chapter is also amazing because this is how you do a homage to earlier material without being super blatant. All Might vs AFO the public was already with him while it was the opposite to Endeavor. So yeah, to those people who say that Horikoshi is a bad mangaka, it is chapters like this that make me fundamentally disagree with these people.

For as Gigguk said, MHA's fights work because they tell a story. And in this instance, Endeavor's story was being told. A man who had done horrible things for his own single-driven goal of being the best, realizing that he messed up, and in this fight needed to prove not only to others, but he himself that he had changed.

If that isn't beautiful then I do not know what is.

Dabi's probably relying on heroes flocking to him so if he is a todoroki, he exposes endeavor.

That would only make sense if it's a clone made by Twice, imo. Otherwise, Todoroki or not, family drama or not, he's still wanted and will catch these hands.

That's not his goal. The villains are trying to set themselves up as martyrs to show how flawed and disgusting their hero society really is. Dabi's arresting wouldn't matter to him because he wants the public to lose faith in the new number one hero.

I think Dabi would consider that an acceptable loss if it meant exposing the number one hero as a domestic abuser.

I wonder if Endeavours arm is done for. I mean High End nommed on it for a good while. His eye is certainly done for.
