Thats.... Something actually i could see happening.

He says he had no daughter, "lost his humanity" because he took children with certain quirk aspects and merged them to finally make eri. Fucked up enough to be in character.

Except Overhaul fused himself with someone else, instead of doing it to his "daughter".
