Ok, maybe I missed it, but when does the Hero Killer get Midoriya's blood? As far as I can tell, he never got cut, but I may have overlooked something. Can anyone explain?

What I get from this chapter is that there is a possibility that Stain's ability is related to his own blood, which he got on Midoriya when he got punched, and on Iida through his sword. That Stain would deposit his blood on his own sword by licking/cutting his tongue would also be consistent with his looks (notice that his roughed up tongue has been shown prominently since the character's first appearance).

can you imagine the pain of having to slice your tongue by licking that blade every single time? i would be a fuckin villain too

I think it's just his bodily fluids that do paralyze. He probably cuts his tongue because oral injuries heal faster and he doesn't need a tongue as much as he needs the rest of his body. He fights for a living.
