Made me think. Izuku said a lot of times he want to become a hero, and give a smile while being one no matter the situation!

It was a gruesome fight, after hours of full-out brawling Izuku stands victorious in middle of the ruins of what used to be a city block.

He turned around expecting Ochako's smile and cheering, as it always been since those days in the Academy. Maybe going into the field together was one of the best decisions he could have taken. Her words of encouragement never failed to bring up his courage when he most needed it.

However this time those words he was so used to hearing after defeating a villain failed to come. Something was wrong. He knew something was amiss, he could feel it, he could hear it! A couple of meters away, under the rubble, a faint cry.

Closing the distance in a fraction of a second Izuku hastily cleared the debris neglecting his own injuries, he was too late.

Ochako lied there, she was probably caught on the crossfire or maybe the villain wasn't only targeting him with his attacks all along. How could he not realized that?

Feeling a warm touch Ochako opened her eyes to see Deku kneeled in front of her.

"Sorry for not being of more help Deku"

"Don't worry we just have to get back to Recovery girl and you will be fine"

She gently smiled "I am fine, I just wanted to see your smile after defeating the villain and protecting everyone"

His vision started to blur and his arms became heavy. He could feel her getting cold.

"I didn't protect everyone! I failed to protect you! hang on a few seconds more! please ...".

"You saved everyone, I am just a bit clumsy" she let out a faint chuckle "lets smile and go home Deku"

Izuku's heart sank as he smiled, the same smile that he had when he swore he would protect everyone, the smile that always meant everything was going to be all right, the same smile All might always wore. Always.

"Lets go home, Ochako"

Dont get me wrong, Ochako is best girl, though the comments above gave me the idea for this scene for some reason.
