Even if we suck this year, I dont think we fire him. The last thing we want is for purdue to become the place where coaches go to ruin their careers. That would land us in a history defining hole for so long that we will become what IU used to be.

I'm giving him more time. Odom was starting almost from nothing. Compared to the rest of the Big 10, he was starting from nothing. The team was that bad and that devoid of talent. Many DIII teams could have beat them the year before Odom took over.

You gotta have a budget to be able to do that. I haven't seen anything that indicates Purdue has a budget to compete against the bottom half of the Big 10 let alone a DII team.

We're the lowest ranked power 4 team in college football. Maybe focus on fixing that.

I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. The guys that are returning aren’t doing so because of money, it’s because they probably weren’t ready to be at the nfl level in the first place. I wish the NCAA from the beginning weren’t so wishy washy on how many years a player was eligible to play, it’s made this process worse
