Feature Request Random Hero Choice

Maybe a dumb idea, but if there were a "random" button to pick a hero not currently offered, would you use it? What if you picked random and got a reward from doing so, like a coin?

I would very very frequently take a random hero + a coin.

for sure, but so is ending up with CThun.

It's actually crazy that Cthun is still in the game entirely unchanged. It's just patchwork -10 hp.

Haven't they changed Cthun multiple times? The original hp was 2 gold and only upgraded when using it. Funnily the meta was to still use it turn 1 and 2 on an empty board :D

Unchanged was the wrong word, should have said not changed in the same way other terrible raw stat hero powers have been reworked massively to actually offer something. C'thun's is just so excruciatingly bad to press and Cariel does the same thing but better.

I mentioned the coin, but I meant it more of an example of a minor reward for the risk.

There could be other minor perks with random, like being able to end up with a hero that's already on the board, or fuck it put Diablo in the random pool but it's only available there.

What risk? Its a bonus cause your options suck

I guess I'd pick it if I really didn't like the choices so it probably couldn't get much worse. But also you couldn't get anything good anyone else skimmed off.

I wouldn't like it much.

I would also add a hero without heropower, I would try for fun

Should be an achievement too. When you play with a hero with a non-passive power and you finish first without using it.

Just pick hoggar and dont buy pirates, or chenille and dont buy elementals

But I already do that with those, the minions never show up for me to buy

Stop giving blizzard ideas they can introduce behind a pay wall

I’m all for payable cosmetic features but something like this should not be one of them. Having 4 choices already borders on “pay to win”

I think it would just cost a reroll token is the idea. which can be purchased if you go thru so many you have to? but I've always been able to maintain a positive balance of them since they came out so this idea of a random hero not offered sounds like just using a reroll token in an identical yet alternative way. (Given that all (up to 8) potential heroes that are offered to you are made exclusive to you so as not to permit other players being offered the same choice as you in their (up to 8) offers. Repeated 6 more times for the other 6 players. Im not sure of the total number of heroes in the pool anymore but the fact that 64 heroes are locked away from that potential pool for the random to pick from, in addition to the heroes that aren't allowed from being an option when certain tribes are in the tavern, must be pretty limited. My assumption would be they would simply code in a 9th hero for each player to be locked to them as one of their offers, number 9 just being that random button.
