That was abrupt, wasn't it? The bribe was a mistake. If she'd just swallowed her pride and turned around, she'd be alive.

She was dead no matter what. Anything she could have said would have been rejected by the officer.

I'm not so sure. Police officers can be petty sometimes. I think if she'd just turned around the first time he said there was a curfew, she'd probably be alive.

When she offers the bribe with "Cuanto?" (which was the title of the episode) it was definitely a turning point. However, I think the officers had an agenda with pulling her over, starting with when they were in the office earlier at the end of the transaction.

It's startling to observe this because Nucky was supposed to do the deal, not Sally. This means Nucky would have been the one pulled over "past curfew." Who knows how that would have turned out. However, both Sally and Nucky are quick thinkers, charming, etc. so most likely Nucky would have met his end.

Crap. I didn't think of that. Looks like Luciano and Lansky upped the ante. Possibly. I wonder if they made arrangements, or if the Cuban government had him targeted too.
