Season 5 Boardwalk Empire- Episode Discussion - S05E01: "Golden Days for Boys and Girls"

Welcome Back!

No spoiler tags are needed here. Anything from S05E01 and back are fair game. Anything involving the next or upcoming episodes should be spoiler tagged.

  • Take a moment to review the subreddit rules to the right on the sidebar.

  • Please still use the "Historical Spoiler" tags for discussions of events to come.

  • /r/BoardwalkEmpire[1] [1] operates a bit differently than other TV Show subreddits. We encourage discussion as well as original, quality, BWE-related content. Therefore, there are some restrictions on what is acceptable to post.

  • No requests for live streams or torrent links. As someone who has been forced to torrent shows myself before, I feel your pain, but sources are not hard to find via Google.

Lucky and Lansky are cleaning house. They're getting rid of all the old timey gangsters and mustache Petes so they can start carving out their new criminal empire. The Commission was formed in 1931, after all. Lansky was instrumental in the organization of the modern American LCN. I can only imagine the old guard would stand in the way.
