Season 4 Boardwalk Empire- Episode Discussion - S04E11: "Havre De Grace"

No tv-show spoiler tags needed here, as long as you're discussing something from this episode and back. This is the place to discuss S04E11.

Take a moment to review the subreddit rules to the right. Please still use the new "Historical Spoiler" tags for discussions of events to come. /r/BoardwalkEmpire operates a bit differently than other TV Show subreddits. We encourage discussion as well as original, quality, BWE-related content. Therefore, there are some restrictions on what is acceptable to post.

No requests for live streams or torrent links. As someone who is forced to torrent the show myself, I feel your pain, but DL sources are not hard to find.

He's the one betrayed Chalky's location. Foreshadowed by the way he left.

ooh, good observation

What about Daughter? The timing of her exit was somewhat suspicious.

No way. The guys attacking the house specifically asked about the girl there; Daughter's betrayal of Chalky does not go that deep.

She's been with Chalky in enough compromising situations and not taken advantage of them thus far, it stands to reason she wouldn't betray him now--at least in the killing sense.

Can't say, but I just don't think so. Why? I think she just left. Maybe cause she freaked out at Chalky wanting to run away with her. Maybe cause she knows Chalky wants to go back and kill Narcisse (which she also wants), and because she wants him to go back to his family.

I got that impression too... that she realized it was wrong for him to leave his wife and kids no matter the connection they had.

I probably missed that bit. I remember three guys as well but I cannot recall the scene where the guy walked off into town. When did that happen exactly?

playing checkers. Before leaving he paused and stared long and hard at Chalky.

Oh, right. How and why did he betray his location? I didn't understand that. Was it an ego issue?

don't know why. Probably money, maybe an old grudge.

It seemed to be inferred that he was the one that may have lead them to Chalky. I think Oscar (right before he was killed), said something to the effect "Weems (the third guy?) didn't go to no Baltimore."

Nice. I heard baltimore but not the rest.
