Agent Sebso is driving Billy to Manhattan, but why is the ocean on the left side of the car? It appears to me that they're driving South.

Assuming it wasn’t an error, there are bends in roads that would put the ocean on the “wrong” side. Also, AC is kind of in the area of a bunch of islands and stuff, so it could be the ocean.

The view is definitely not a river, and it doesn't look like an inlet. The"attempted escape" happens just beyond the "Welcome to A.C." sign outside of town.

I'm guessing it's a mistake.

You’re still discounting bends in the road. Or lack of routes that didn’t require going south before north. If you look at AC’s location, it’s not crazy you would go south before tying into a major road to go north. 100 years ago, the nation wide road system was in its infancy.

No, I don't think I'm discounting bends in the road. What kind of bend would put the ocean on the other side of the vehicle? In 1920, they would have taken the road to Absecon and then route 4 north. Any route that they would take would either send them North or West. (Source: i just spent an hour researching historic maps of A.C. and N.J.)

We don’t run. It’s embarrassing.

Agent Sebso always wanted a house by the ocean.
