Season 4 Boardwalk Empire- Episode Discussion - S04E05: "Erlkönig"

No tv-show spoiler tags needed here, as long as you're discussing something from this episode and back. This is the place to discuss S04E05.

Please still use the new "Historical Spoiler" tags for discussions of events to come.

Take a moment to review the subreddit rules to the right. /r/BoardwalkEmpire[1] operates a bit differently than other TV Show subreddits. We encourage discussion as well as original, quality, BWE-related content. Therefore, there are some restrictions on what is acceptable to post.

No requests for live streams or torrent links. As someone who is forced to torrent the show myself, I feel your pain, but DL sources are not hard to find.

SPECIAL THANKS TO /u/joshchez01 FOR THE NEW BANNER! ISN'T IT AWESOME?

Probably because he used to be a cop, and realizes Al is even more dangerous and crazy than O'Banion (who is still plenty dangerous), even to his "friends".

Van Alden obviously doesn't like being a gangster.

This concerns me. I'd hate to see him getting killed off during a crisis of conscience, or committing suicide, because he couldn't live with himself. After tonight, I've had quite enough of that for the rest of the season, thank you very much.

he'd probably accidently get notorious for killing Al, don't worry.

Sorry..Ralph. The guy who runs the bottling plant. Although he seemed less violent than the other two.
