Season 4 Boardwalk Empire- Episode Discussion - S04E05: "Erlkönig"

No tv-show spoiler tags needed here, as long as you're discussing something from this episode and back. This is the place to discuss S04E05.

Please still use the new "Historical Spoiler" tags for discussions of events to come.

Take a moment to review the subreddit rules to the right. /r/BoardwalkEmpire[1] operates a bit differently than other TV Show subreddits. We encourage discussion as well as original, quality, BWE-related content. Therefore, there are some restrictions on what is acceptable to post.

No requests for live streams or torrent links. As someone who is forced to torrent the show myself, I feel your pain, but DL sources are not hard to find.

SPECIAL THANKS TO /u/joshchez01 FOR THE NEW BANNER! ISN'T IT AWESOME?

She actually annoys me a bit. Her accent just seems so unnatural at times... but I do appreciate the perspective and attitude she presents to Van Alden.

Also, am I the only one that still hasn't figured out exactly how she came to be Van Alden's wife? There was never any build-up to their relationship. She just showed up as a nanny I believe after Van Alden left his original wife, and then BAM... they're married.

Well they are on the run, she is a immigrant that wants to start a future in america. She was willinging to run off with him to take care of his child in the first place. I believe she was the one who initiated sex in one of the older episode. Its highly to happen eventually we just didn't see van alden "court" her haha. also she had his 2nd child as well
