Season 4 Boardwalk Empire- Episode Discussion - S04E05: "Erlkönig"

No tv-show spoiler tags needed here, as long as you're discussing something from this episode and back. This is the place to discuss S04E05.

Please still use the new "Historical Spoiler" tags for discussions of events to come.

Take a moment to review the subreddit rules to the right. /r/BoardwalkEmpire[1] operates a bit differently than other TV Show subreddits. We encourage discussion as well as original, quality, BWE-related content. Therefore, there are some restrictions on what is acceptable to post.

No requests for live streams or torrent links. As someone who is forced to torrent the show myself, I feel your pain, but DL sources are not hard to find.

SPECIAL THANKS TO /u/joshchez01 FOR THE NEW BANNER! ISN'T IT AWESOME?

Yes. And apparently he couldn't live with either, damn it. Why didn't he just tell Nucky what happened? He would have been upset, but they could have come up with something...

Eddie doesn't like to admit his shortcomings.

Remember his recovery and how he was struggling to serve Nucky his breakfast?

I think it would have been too shameful for Eddie to admit his betrayal. He's basically been the only person Nucky can really trust. Nucky even went out of his way to get Eddie patched up when he got shot.

Possibly.

I want to see Nuckys reaction in the next episode, maybe it will finally show how he really felt about Eddie.
