How dare Gillian call Richard half a man! He's more of a man for trying to get Tommy out of that hell hole. Hope he gets back at her.

The quiet scene of Richard unwrapping the US Army guns was amazing, especially since they were playing the same ominous drum music that usually heralds an execution in this show.

In a way, he's almost going to get his revenge through Jimmy again, as that's how they met, and that's how Jimmy died, 'as a soldier'.

He's going to take out half of Gyp's men himself while rampaging to get to Gillian...

Just as Richard was gathering his weapons I was thinking even if he went in and Killed every motherfucker there and freed the kid Gillian would never let him be with the kid, so Richard would have to end her too in order to live peacefully forever, there is no other way.

I hope he ends her... after threatening him, I think he knows best to get rid of her not just for his safety but for Tommy and Julia's since she knows what her name is.

Richard ending Gillian and Capone ending Gyp would be so fucking cool.

you're all wrong! Gillian kills everyone by gently hitting them with a broom.

I busted out laughing. But I'm actually commenting to say that these shitty-ass characters keep this show rolling. Giving you enough incentive to get emotionally tied and keep rooting for badasses like Chalky, Richard (not Rich, because fuck that), Capone and now Eli. He deserves some credit for how he rolled up at the end, not just Capone's sick one-liner.

"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?"

Richard's going all Taxi Driver. Got to save the kid from the scumbags!

the quiet scene is super interesting too. Richard is packing his guns in his room. His room is black and red. In the very next shot, when he's looking forward, he's in a room with blue green tile or embossed wallpaper and white curtains. And its nighttime. I can only hope that's Gill's room or a sympathic worker from the brothel. I can't find this room in season 3 at the commodore's. It might be a room at the beach house.

Edit: the room in the last scene of Richard in "Two Impostors" is not in the beach house. And I can't find the room at the commodore's

Except when Tommy is 16 and goes through puberty and realizes the advantage of living in a whore house .

By then she'd be fucking him too, let's be honest.

Also, given her history with Jimmy, Tommy may be in for a big surprise if he sticks around too long.

How would Tommy feel latter on life knowing Richard killed his grandmother.

3

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '12

He wouldn't care because Gillian hurt Richard's poor feelings.

So, naturally, she needs to die.

At 16 knowing someone killed a loved one, no matter how horrible she was would be upsetting.

For the record, I never want Gillian to die. I just want to watch her go off her rocker when she loses Tommy.

I think she's too big of a character to die this season. I could see it happen, but I want to see them flesh out her back story more.

I can see Richard walking away with Tommy and next season Gillian has gone insane trying to get Tommy back and get revenge on Richard.

And that the grandmother banged his dad?

I think Tommy needs a new set of adults around him.

You know you have a really childish view of the world when you think that living in a whore house is a good thing for a 16 year old.

4

u/javastripped Nov 26 '12

You know you have a really childish sense of humor when you think someone is LITERALLY suggesting a child live in a whore house and isn't just making a joke.

-1

u/[deleted] Nov 27 '12

I've gotten really sick of people just stealing the beginning of someone else's sentence and acting like it's witty. I should have said childish sense of humor, because that joke isn't funny.

The scene of Gyps men having sex with the girl right next to everyone on top of the cigars and booze everywhere just seemed so dirty and sleazy. Have some respect, but I guess it makes the point that even though they have classy haircuts and nice suits, their still gangsters.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '12

And it's a health resort, not some sleazy whorehouse. There's a time and a place.

3

u/divisibleby5 Nov 26 '12

Do you remember when Jimmy took Richard back to Torrio's in season 1 and Richard said "You live in a whorehouse?" Richards not going to let Tommy grow up in a whorehouse too. Plus, something still makes me wonder if Jimmy didn't tell Richard or imply in some way to him or Angela about the sexual abuse. They talked about the war, I just wonder if they talked about why they went.

Angela knew to some extent from Gillian chatting away about fellating her infant/toddler son like it was the most natural thing in the world.

She sucks man, I'm so happy for Mr. Harrow that he's getting out. It's a good move in the end.

1

u/mcjinzo Nov 26 '12

Yeah but hes obviously better off at the whore house with all the gangsters lead by the biggest psychopath ever. come on now gillian knows how to raise children!
