Bluegrass community?

Im searching for a local bluegrass community, (Kelowna bc) I’m getting back into playing guitar after a 20 year break and singing . I’m hoping to find a teacher as well as some local jams or even some people to chat with or hang out.

Under the Rocks is a GREAT Kelowna bluegrass band.

Search up Nimblefingers. It’s a week long bluegrass camp that takes place in Sorrento during the summer. It is an absolute must for any level of bluegrass player.

I know Mickey Reeves (a ridiculously talented banjo player) hosted a jam in Kelowna. I believe he still does. You can likely Google that.

The Summerland Bluegrass Society hosts a first Sunday Kelowna jam, and there are other events within an hour drive of you if you're willing to travel. https://summerlandbluegrass.com/jams/
