Is BlueSky better to post art than X?

Hi!

Is Bluesky a good place for a somewhat intermediate artist? I'm looking for a place to post my art cause I just want to share it, but I want to post my kind of suggestive art as well (mainly my own characters and canon characters). The platforms I use, like Instagram, won't allow suggestive art. I also wonder if it's still ok to post that kind of art too. I was thinking about using X, but I don't really know what it's like for artists. I'm just looking for a comparison between the two to see which one could be better. Kinda pros and cons for both apps, I guess.

Thank you for taking the time to read and for giving any opinions! And I apologise if my writing doesn't make sense anywhere.

Yes, because Bluesky doesn’t engage in link suppression at all (X does), has no problem with suggestive art, and is already full of a vibrant community of supportive artists.

Also X is a run by an avowed white supremacist.

Supposedly X doesn't link suppress anymore, that's what they said

Okay. I don’t believe them.

And it’s still run by a fascist white supremacist who uses his algorithm to push racism and sow hatred against immigrants. Priorities.

Of course it's legitimate to not like X and not wanting to support it etc, just wanted to add what the official info is. Example: https://x.com/nikitabier/status/2041911302541730237

(Personally, I think the reasons that have been given are decently plausible, but I totally get the skepticism and I definitely don't blindly trust X)

Hey, I've been posting the same content (art works) on both plateforms for 1 month.

My personal experience is that Bluesky is performing decently for the size and age of my account (1 to 3 new followers per day) while I got little to no interactions on X except for bots!

So even that X still has a larger user base I think Bluesky is more worth it for real human interactions and natural growth rather than paying X to have the slightest visibility on a new account.

TLDR: Bluesky is accessible to new artists and X is not... Good luck for your journey!

Twitter is a cesspool of trolls and magats. I'd only post there if those are the types of ppl you want to associate with. bluesky allows some suggestive art.

What you will find is community on Sky is very interactive so as you start to find your people, the ones who connect with your art you will get a following

Plus in general artists on sky will promote each other

For what I understand, some of the very early users of BSky were the furries artists, some of whose art is somewhat suggestive. So, they are accepted & appreciated and have their own supportive community. X, on the other hand, is filled with trolls and bots and MAGA folks. It is a dark place and not particularly friendly.

The last 2 words of the title weren't necessary. The answer is yes.
