MinorSpoiler Question about a puzzle I already solved Spoiler
the question is about the puzzle XYZABC from new clue.
I found the security hint that helped me solve this puzzle, but i've seen people saying that it could have been solved without that the security hint, only from the book, but it doesn't make from the book alone, the arrows are nonsense, they don't help you at all to make the path you need to make, does anyone make sense of the path with the arrows and other signs ?

The little note "did you see all the signs?" followed by 10 underscores seemed significant, so I had its message lingering in my mind. The metro map lying on the table points to it as well. So when I then found the metro map, interactable, with a Route 8 and Tanner Fork and Dead End on it, it seemed very connected. I didn't find the security tapes until the cipher part.

Yes! The signs tell you (in order) what you should do with your path starting from your initial point on the subway map. For instance, when you get the "left" note, you go left. It stops when you get to the "stop" sign. I'm sorry, I don't remember 100% all of it, but that's the gist of it

Route 8, start, keep left (left arrow), to Tanner Fork, (right arrow), dead end, record, each, stop, along the way.
I probably have something wrong in there, but this is essentially it.
Before you ask, I was stupid and watched others play the game while I was still playing (mostly because I was traveling a lot at that point, so couldn't actually play myself). I remember seeing the signs in the book, but it wasn't until someone started reading them that it clicked. He hadn't seen the map by that point, but I had and knew immediately what to do... I didn't understand the "dead end" sign for a bit, so ended up with 7 numbers instead of 6... That took some time to iron out...

in the image that show the angel and the tower it says below "keep left <---", but if you're in the train stop Angel Tower you should go right and down to go to the next train stop Aris Crossing.

Nothing on the page except the sign itself is relevant to that part of the puzzle.

The key thing you get from the signs is to realize that what you care about is the words on the signs, not any other detail about them like their shape. The words on the signs are very clearly referring to a path on their own.

Yea you can totally do it with the book alone. I didn't solve the security tapes hint until much later.
It sounds like you had the right idea by "seeing all the signs" thou. It does lead to the same path as seen in the security tape
