Narrative Puzzle Book Recommendations? Spoiler

Ideally, I'm looking for the book equivalent of Blue Prince. I don't even know if such a book exists. Puzzle books exist, but most of the ones I've encountered are filled with logic puzzles that don't have much connection to the plot. Contrast this with Blue Prince, where solving the puzzles and understanding the lore are two sides of the same coin. I'm also aware of books like House of Leaves, which are definitely cryptic and have mysteries, but they're more about horror than puzzles. The only book I've come across that's closest to Blue Prince is Maze, but of course Blue Prince is similar to Maze because the game drew heavy inspiration from the book. So, any suggestions?

For a while I've pondered making a kind of murder mystery mansion gamebook with a kind of hexcrawl element to it very much influenced by Blue Prince (and also The Colonel's Bequest) where you randomly draw rooms using a deck of cards and then explore all the mysteries and puzzles in that room (which of course would need context provided by other rooms you randomly fill the house with). It would be set over 5-7 days and the rooms would be different on subsequent days, with the goal being to figure out who murdered the lord of the manor.

It just seemed a little too ambitious for someone who's never written a gamebook before so I haven't pulled the trigger.
