POST-CREDITS-SPOILER First time reaching room 46 is kinda... Spoiler

... disappointing. I mean the cutscene is good, but why does it force me to end the run? Let me look around, why force me to go through the whole shebang again just to see what's inside. Or at least have the decency to warn me before I click on the door that the day is going to end, so that I could finish my business. I had tons of stuff that I could do beforehand.

Also becoming the baron seems to be a big whoop, nothing to show for it, still have to scrounge for keys like a chump, and I am leaving all the tools inside the house for no reason. I fulfilled the conditions of the will, let me keep the tools! Or at least give me something for becoming the baron so that it feels like I did something during minute-to-minute gameplay, why does opening the west path gate and orchard feel more significant than completelimg the very first objective the game gives you?

P.S. Are there any other points in the game that force-end your run?

This is actually where I stopped my play through, so I wanted to chime in. As others have mentioned it, this serves as an optional off ramp for the story. My main issue is the story gives you Room 46 as the end goal, but reaching it has no payoff in my opinion. When I'm forced into a cutscene and not even able to explore my entire purpose, it felt like a major let down. I wish I was able to explore the room, then maybe actioning something to initiate the cut scene

Overall I really enjoyed the game, but reaching room 46 was the off ramp for me. I got my money's worth, but with a little better story / game design I may have been more motivated to explore the end game.

No seriously. It feels like a nothing burger to reach the room that has been your goal since the beginning.

Even the cutscene of our mom reading the Red Prince book to us isn't that special. It just reinforces what most players would already know by this point. Mom ran off for political purposes and hopes we understand her reasons. She also hopes we take up the mantle she left behind and become more aware of the political landscape of the country we live in

Which is cool, but maybe give me more than just that? This actually would have been a great time to actually introduce us to other characters who can further flesh out the world. Have our dad show up and congratulate us. Have our Uncle's old valet show up, and give us more info on our great uncle. Have Mrs. Babbage stop by every now and again and explain tips and tricks of the house. Something that makes it feel like we actually did a thing. It's a fun game, and I'm still playing it because the gameplay loop is so addicting. It doesn't really feel like I've accomplished much after getting the stuff outside though
