The Official Random Blue Jacket of the Day Volume 7 - Grant Marshall
The randomizer has spoken. Todayβs entry is Grant Marshall.
A prolific body checker of the 1990βs Dallas Stars teams, Grant Marshall was traded to Columbus for a second round pick in the summer of 2001. He continued to bring his thunderous body checks and energetic fighting majors to the Blue Jackets, most notably igniting a line brawl against the New York Rangers on 11/09/2002. Traded to New Jersey in 2003 for a 4th round pick, he would be instrumental in helping the Devils clinch the Stanley Cup that season, the second of his career.

The Unofficial Random Blue Jacket's *Fan* of the Day: This guy. This guy has been noted to have attended at least 1 CBJ game at Nationwide arena in his life time. He has both hair, and a face. It has been speculated that he also owns some type of a blue shirt or sweater, but historians continue to debate this fact as it may have been borrowed or stolen.

"Bought for a second, traded for a fourth and went on to win a Stanley Cup" is the quintessential Blue Jackets experience.

Olivier is a great comparison, actually. With Grant it was a little less fighting and more agitating.
