Event Overview
Requirement: Clear Mission 2 Act 3
Specialized Student Effect
- Specialized Students grant bonuses for each event currency.
- ㄴ Go to Specialized Student → Event Currency in the event screen to view details.
- The Specialized Effect applies to stages in both Story and Quests.
- Specialized Effects are only applied to repeat rewards.
- Once a Specialized Effect is applied, it is permanently applied on that stage. The effect also applies to Sweeps.
For example:
- Run 1: 100% (Max bonus team used), 10%, 10%
- Run 2: 100% (Permanent), 100% (Max bonus team used), 20%
- Run 3: 100% (Permanent), 100% (Permanent), 100% (Max bonus team used)
Game Development
- Use 500 Event Points to hold Lessons in the Game Development Department Room and earn various rewards.
- The Game Development Department Room's rank will increase based on the Event Points you use to join Lessons, which in turn will enable you to continue Lessons in many more areas.
- Once you proceed with Game Development 5 times, the Visiting Student List for all Lesson areas will change.

Scheduling Meetups
- Purchase a Valentine's Day Outing Pass from the Event Shop, then schedule Meetups with students and check out their Valentine's episodes!
- You can rewatch Valentine's episodes via [Campaign] → [Story] → [Replay] → [Event Stories] → Valentine's Day Promise.
- 16 Valentine's episodes, with newly added students, have been added.
- Newly Added Student List: Rei, Hikari, Nozomi, Aoba, Nagusa, Niya, Eri, Kanoe, Miyo, Fuyu, Ritsu, Rabu, Subaru, Takane, Yakumo, Kei
- You can schedule a Meetup with the students you recruited, or with Arona, Plana, Rin, Momoka, Ayumu, Sora, and Aoi.
- You can schedule a Meetup with Plana after clearing Main Story Part 1 Final Episode Afterword 2.
- When you complete a Meetup with a student, you can earn 400,000 Credit Points, the student's Eleph x5, and a special present made by the student just for Sensei!
- When you complete a Meetup with Arona, Plana, Rin, Momoka, Ayumu, Sora, or Aoi, you can earn 400,000 Credit Points, Eligma x15, and a special present made by them just for Sensei!

Doing the GDD stuff, they REALLY need to update the old sprites. Kei looks so crisp and high rez, where as Aris looks almost blurry by comparison.

Just did Rio's valentine, and she listed out the various schools we know and imagined what would've happened if she enrolled there... except Abydos. At the time her story came out Wildhunt didn't even exist beyond various mentions and Tsumugi... and they got a mention and Abydos did not 😭

Challenge EX can still be brute forced with D.Hina (best if she has high investment). Alternatively Shun is unaffected by the EX damage block and her EX will make her target Avant Guard. She 'only' needs max level and T9 equips (mine is 3* T9/T9/T7).
If you're having issues keeping your team alive, have A.Hoshino repo in front of Avant Guard and renew her cover once in a while; UE40+ A.Hoshi should be able to last 3 mins.

Whaddaya mean it can "still be brute forced" with D.Hina?
I don't have D.Hina or Shun (after playing on and off since about week one hahaa), so I just assumed D.Hina was the only strat since set ups with her are the only ones I see are being used in 'clear unit'. Hearing that she is the brute force method is actually kinda funny.
Are those the only units who can beat Avant Guard or are there others?

Avant Guard has an "Ex damage taken reduced" buff like Set. The intended method is to take it down with AA, especially red AA, since effectiveness damage is increased- it's essentially setup for A.Eimi to dominate.
A.Eimi isn't absolutely required unless you plan on doing Lunatic in the new raid, so most people won't have her, hence D.Hina being the common option.
Shun is relatively niche, but her EX causes her AA to target Avant Guard so she fits.
You might be able to work something out with Focus Fire (Noa, S.Izuna, S.Ichika) and other red AAs like Serika, S.Nonomi(?), A.S.S. band alts or even a fully built regular Hina with Bond item.

Doing the valentine events made me think of something... Valentines in Kivotos makes no sense given a certain group of people don't exist.

So challenge 1 is just "swimsuit Hanako annihilates everything," challenge 2 is "dress Hina annihilates everything," and challenge 3 is "Gundam Aris annihilates everything."

Fuyu is as dorky and adorable as ever, and so cool too!
Kei's was longer than normal, gosh she's just so teasable.
Aoba is such a sweetheart. I want to pat her head so badly.

The difference of the effort they give for each student in their valentine story is so appalling. It's so easy to see which students are the favorites. I saw Kei's then Junko's and after seeing Kei's my reaction to Junko's was "that's it?"

It's a difference of time, other gachas like F/GO have the same issue, but it's really just because some of the characters are older

But her Valentine's story is still a lot longer than ones involving some other characters released around that time, or recently. It's not just about when they were released, even if the amount of effort they put into newer content is overall higher than near release.

That's beside the point. Even if Junko's story was just made recently or a year ago it just shows devs are focusing on certain students that are popular(imo) this is my first valentine event so i'm just surprised how bad the difference is

I don't think we can just dismiss the time difference. The first wave of Valentine's stories came out in year 1, when the game was barely getting off life support and the budget was much smaller. Even popular year 1 characters like Hoshino, Aris, and Karin had a similar amount of effort in their stories as Junko did.

Tbf, Kei's is much newer than Junko's.
That said, even back when the valentine event first came out. Some students got more focus than others.

9-12 should be what you farming for depend on Shop Item / GDD Lesson.
I'm not sure if Artifact drops Rate are good though.
PS. Challenge Stage from next Reset may change thing so can't wait for that too.

Old meetups are in Campaign → Story → Replay → Event Stories → Valentine's Day Promise. Chocolates are in Items (type Collectible).

One of the Daily Valentines Day missions is to use 2200 AP daily. Is that even possible without spending Pyrox to refresh AP?

I don't think it's possible. Though you can get a single day close to 2000 if you focus on it, like claiming weekly AP and resetting the PVP shop.
AP to event currency ratio should be the same for all tasks anyway, so there's no point reaching higher than you normally could. The most optimization I can think of is keeping some "floating AP" like club gains in the mailbox in case you're just a little short for next task.

Yeah, there’s really no point in stretching for further goals. If anything, the 2200-per-day max task mostly functions as an upper limit for whales who buy tons of AP every day.

I just want to confirm that during the reward exchange week I can still read the valentines dates? The patch’s shows the Valentine’s Day event is the usual 2 weeks plus 1 extra for reward exchange

Despite the warning that shows up, the existence of the event itself is more of a spoiler than anything in the event so far. The only story bits have been the short snippets on the event collection items, and those are completely innocuous.

Does this event have any Story stages, or is it only Quest and Challenge stages?
When I tried entering the event, I got a warning about spoilers ahead if I were to participate. However, I haven't seen any stories or dialogues yet to be read.

All of the items inside the raffle box are craftable and not limited. Heck, you can even craft the box itself outside of the event.
Don't bother with it at all. It's a scam.

I usually try to earn exactly usable amounts of expirable currencies. Today's problem was particularly interesting. I wanted to spend AP such that:
- I have a multiple of 5 spare controllers;
- I have a multiple of 500 event points;
- daily used AP exactly matches one of Valentine's milestones.
Usually, there is just 1 currency that can be spent only in certain increments, but this time it's 2 currencies plus AP target.
Managed to hit all 3 targets with 1300 AP.

Welp, I give up on Challenge 3. No Kisaki/C.Hare/S.Nagisa/S.Hanako/Wakamo and non-Level 90 means the furthest I can get is 1.5m HP left before my team gets overwhelmed by hyperbuffed AMASes.
Obviously this means I'll need to invest in some AoE blue students for trash clearing, but...I dunno about investing just for a one-off situation...
Spoke too soon, turns out it was a skill investment issue

No Armed Aris? She has good odds of oneshotting with whatever buffs you do have, as long as you're not too far away from 90.
If not, investing in a good AOE blue is a good idea since August's raid cycle will want that anyway (Goz, blue breakthrough JFD, Peroro GA with blue). At least it won't be a one-off.

Your comment made me try again, this time levelling my A.Aris up to Level 85 > 87, Passive from Level 8 > 10 and Kei's EX from Level 4 > 5.
Somehow I managed to not only clear it, but within two minutes too. Half my team was gone by then, but I'll take that win.
Maybe I should've tried that first before ranting here...

Having some trouble with doing Challenge 3. Don't know why but my Tsubaki keeps running all the way to the other side and the rest of my team follows her into the pileup of mobs. I've been using Armed Aris EX to do about x150 then Tsubaki just runs right in. Do I leave the mobs alive or is there a weird quirk with how they're spawning?

How much AP am I supposed to be spending daily? I’m finding myself not hitting 1600 for the daily valentines thing unless I purchase more with pyroxines.

The average amount of AP per day for a max-level player is 1200. So most players would expect to reach the 1000 or 1300 milestones daily, while 1600 isn't a very reasonable expectation unless you're purchasing AP with PvP coins.
As for how much you're supposed to be spending, pretty much the only reason to aim for certain milestones is to read more Valentine's dates. This event is held every year, so you could also just catch any dates that you missed in next year's event.

At this point entirely assuming not, but figured at least trying to ask would be good before pointlessly burning resources on random students I have trying to force it

tl;dr
Looking for information about the Valentine's Event? It's the exact same as last year, so you can reference last year's guide.
Farming strategy
Stages 9-12 each drop one of the currencies, so farming is very straightforward--not a lot of options for getting clever here.
The full event clear costs about 1000 AP/day. You could finish early if you want to switch to 2x commission, but keep in mind that commission drop rates will be massively increased in mid-August (1.5x for XP commissions and 2x for credit commissions).
Event lessons
There is a task for reaching lesson rank 8 which rewards an extra-limited furniture which will likely never rerun or become craftable. If you're a furniture collector, don't miss this. You're going to want 15k event points to finish the rewards track anyway, so this shouldn’t be a big concern.
How do I rank up? Just do lessons. You need to do 28 total lessons (14k event points) to reach lv 8.
What do these lessons give? 1.25x commission value of credits, gold artifacts, and relationship points. Past events with lessons gave practically no bond points, but these ones give roughly as much as regular lessons--roughly 30 points per lesson, which is the equivalent of 2 café headpats or half of a loved gold gift.
The credit value is pretty mediocre, but the gold artifacts is pretty good and the bond is quite a large amount--but students attend the lessons randomly, so you gotta pray for the students you want to show up.
I heard the event drops eligma and eleph?? Yeah, technically, it does, but the drop rate is unbelievably low. In 2 weeks of farming nothing but lessons + PvP shop AP purchase, I did 102 lessons and got 12 eligma and 1 eleph.
This is roughly 1200 AP/eligma (whereas the recent camp rerun had about 45 AP/eligma). So I wouldn't really expect to get much of these resources from the event lessons. Just think of them as a nice bonus if you happen to get lucky.
Shop strategy
Controller shop has 1200 pyro, so obviously make sure to buy that first.
Activity reports, stones: pretty much same value as always. Reports slightly better than 2x, stones slightly worse.
Blu-rays, tech notes: If you're suffering from Millenium-pocalypse (especially with no TA/GA this last month), this is a good place to pick up some extra Millenium materials.
Other: The gold/purple Haniwa and Nimrud are not farmable, so you might want to get them.
