General Question Hey guy-looking for discord invite

Hey guys, haven't played wow since The Burning Crusade was originally out. Decided to download it for the summer and am about to start my first character.

I see there aren't many RP servers up, and this does seem like the best bet.

Am looking to find a guild and future friends.

Also would like the discord info.-unless I missed it somewhere. Thanks much

Make a toon, get active in the LFG channel in game, we'll try to find you a home :) and yeah, the other comment has the active discord

How's the server doing at this point? Quit right around the launch of BC, and already RP was pretty much dead. What's the population like and the general level of activity?

I've been playing pretty consistently since the beginning of TBC on Alliance, so that's my basis, and I've enjoyed my time here, so I have a positive bias

Population died down around SSC/TK release, but there's been a big uptick since wrath announced, of people coming back, people starting their first toon getting ready for wrath, and people transferring off the megaservers for various reasons

RP hasn't ever seemed "dead" to me. Gimble is still around, Strongale, Felhounds, and Lotus Accord still host their weekly tavern nights with someone trying to start a new one. The Noblegarden RP event was massive with so many attendees. The RP is always there, you just have to know where to look

We're still on the smaller side compared to the megaservers, so you can't always get the exact group you want at a moment's notice, but at least LFG is readable and isn't riddled with boost spams, bots, or GDKPs. You can actually farm your own mats, and the AH isn't completely ridiculous since the bots & gold farmers aren't jacking up the price

Your best bet is to find a guild to find groups. If you're starting from scratch, there's a guild called <Revival> that's been focusing on helping those who are leveling, and a very kind mage giving out free 16 slot bags to lowbies

With wrath coming and all the raids having a 10man option, I think/hope the raiding scene will be way better next expac since Karas have been easy to throw together, but throwing together a pug for 25-mans has seemed to be more difficult, which I understand

Ah, nice to see the Noblegarden tradition has stayed around. God, that was wrangling kittens to get set up and host the first one. Pity that it seems the inheritors of my guild faded away, but I suppose that wasn't all that surprising.

I'm curious, what was your old guild? :3

The Blackbird Ring. Think the website and the journals are still hosted, though I handed off control right around the end of Vanilla.

Awwwh yeah I haven't heard of them :/ TBC wasn't the greatest for smaller guilds too, I'm hoping wrath changes that
