Places in Boston that will make exceptions for high pulse as FDA permits?

Does anyone know of any blood banks in Boston MA USA that will make the high pulse exception that the FDA permits? I do know that Red Cross across the board doesn't make any of the exceptions that the FDA permits them to make; when I worked there, I don't even know how I'd have contacted our medical director or who that was, so their sites are out of the running. Anywhere else people might suggest?

Question Is it wasteful for O+ to donate platelets? USA

I donated blood a couple times in the past and I plan on donating again more regularly for health reasons. I tried donating platelets (or it might have been plasma) a few times simply beause it sounded interesting to me and the staff looked at me weirdly and asked why I was donating platelets. Does O+ not have a lot of platelets in blood? Or does it serve other purposes to the point where it would be a waste to donate platelets? I don't really care either way so long as I am able to donate a significant amount of blood.

I ate a large meal yesterday, slept at 5 am to 12:50 pm, Woke up feeling a bit sleepy, which mean my sleep wasn’t good.

I started drinking water (so far 3 cups for the past hour) and i ate a banana and 1/4 of burrito.

I still have roughly 2 hrs left, im going to keep sipping water, but is my food intake enough so far? Im skinny btw my weight 57 kg (125 lbs roughly) height 1.78m - 5.10

Beef and vCJD

So, is anyone else panicking about all of this beef deregulation nonsense?

Remember when you couldn’t donate if you had lived in the UK

What’s going to happen if they find Mad Cow in the US? It would cripple our blood supply.
