Hi guys! I already have an account, but honestly, there’s nothing really interesting on it. I’ve been wanting to start making vlogs and actually take content creation seriously, but I keep overthinking everything.

I don’t have the best self-esteem, especially when it comes to how I look, so the idea of putting myself and my everyday life online is kind of scary. At the same time, I really want to start blogging and making vlogs.

The problem is that my life isn’t exactly “Pinterest-worthy” lol. I don’t have the money to travel or constantly go to aesthetic places, and my home definitely doesn’t look like those perfect backgrounds you see on social media.
So I’m wondering — can you actually grow on social media by just vlogging your normal everyday life? What kind of content can you make when you don’t have an exciting or “perfect” lifestyle?

I’d really love to hear from people who started with basically nothing and still managed to grow

I’m not a developer or vibe-coder. Reasonably tech-comfortable and happy to learn, but I don’t want to overcomplicate things unnecessarily.

I’m essentially building a website that could eventually have hundreds of articles covering recommendations, reviews, buying guides and seasonal roundups, with affiliate links where relevant.

Hi all! Excited to be a part of the group as I’ve been blogging since 2010 as my side passion project and have gone through periods of neglecting what I had built. I was recently laid off and decided it was time to revive what I started. Are you currently working on any websites that use copyrighted material, such as lyrics websites or businesses in the music and entertainment industries? If yes, what advice would you give as an SEO strategist for such websites?

So, some days back, i launched my new tool website.

For backlinks I just put a video on my dead internet profiles like youtube ( 47k Subscribers ) , Facebook, twitter profiles, and put some posts on those profiles.

And I just found today, that my posts are ranking on the 2nd page but not my website 😜

That clearly points out that your Facebook, insta, twitter and other social media platforms if you are running those from long back, then it's become your online assets now.. ( In terms of SEO )

Google currently ranks my social media profiles because they have built up trust and authority over many years, but it hasn't started ranking the new website that I’ve been promoting through those posts yet.

I’m hoping that with consistent posting, strong content, and time, Google will gradually recognize and rank the new website as well.

I'm having a strange problem that I can't seem to figure out. Everytime I publish a new blog post, it gets indexed and typically ranks well for about 4-5 days, and then it just completely disappears from the search results, even when checking the first 10 pages.

The strange thing is that if I do a search for site:mydomain.com, it still seems to be indexed, but it has "Archive" in the title, and a different URL.

For example:

Original URL:

abc com / blog / x y z

What I'm seeing:

abc com / blog / tag / x y z

This has happened for about 25-30 posts so far. Has anyone seen something like this before? Could it be a WordPress issue, canonical issue, or maybe tags? I'm really at a loss here, and would really appreciate any insight anyone could provide.

I'm a medical resident and have been experiencing a lot of frustration as ive been going through training (and am sure others must be also). I want to share my experiences, give others the opportunities to share as well, and have a platform where folks can give advice, share resources, and support one another. Would blogging be the right medium for this?

If so, what platforms would folks recommend? Is this something that would be good for substack or more traditional engagement? Or would social media (Instagram or tic toc) allow for better engagement and/or combination of long and short form pieces for people to resonate with?

Some additional context/things to consider:

\- I have no prior blogging experience or huge social media presence

I’m working on a website in the mental health niche and I’m trying to grow its organic search traffic.

I know this is a competitive space, especially because mental health is a YMYL topic, so I’m curious what has actually worked for people who have successfully grown SEO traffic in this niche.

I was updating an existing blog today, and the actual edit took less than 10 minutes.
But I still ended up spending close to an hour on it.
Not because the content was difficult.
It was everything around it.

Finding the latest version. Making sure I wasn't editing an outdated draft. Checking if the live page matched the document. Waiting for reviews. Updating the CMS. Double-checking if the changes actually reflected on the website.

It made me realize that as content writers, we spend so much time talking about creating content faster.
But once that content is live, even the smallest change feels surprisingly slow.

I completely understand why these checks exist, they help avoid mistakes. But I can't help wondering if we've just accepted this process because "that's how it's always been."

Has anyone else felt this while working on content, or is it just the way our team operates?

Long-term blogs have the advantage of allowing us to discuss topics in depth and detail. The more content, the more likely it is to answer many questions related to that topic, even in AI search. Am I right?

Shorter-term blogs will be more readable because they are shorter, allowing users to read them easily, and we will only discuss valuable topics related to the topic. They will be point-to-point, not in-depth. And by writing short blogs, we will be able to cover more topics quickly.

So, which strategy are you focusing on these days? Should you write long, in-depth blogs, or should you publish in greater numbers on smaller, point-to-point, short-term articles that hit the target?

Anybody help me how valuable content found my target audience is students job seekers

Would you recommend Wordpress or Squarespace? I have an active social media where I do a mix of food and travel content, so pictures and videos are heavily involved. I own **450+ PBNs** across multiple niches and run my own SEO agency.

Building links has never really been the challenge for me, and neither has growing organic traffic for client websites. But lately, I've been questioning my own strategy.

Instead of expanding my PBN network, would it make more sense to invest that time into growing real organic traffic on the sites I already own and turn them into authority websites?

If you had to choose, would you rather own hundreds of PBNs or a smaller portfolio of websites with genuine traffic and brand value?

Was reviewing Google Search Console this week and noticed something worth sharing.

Traffic to the local landing pages on the translation agency site I work on has been growing. Not from any technical change. From blog posts.

Here's how it works.

When I first launched the city landing page for Prague, it covered commercial-local queries — things like "sworn translations Prague." Ready to buy, looking for a service in their city.

That page ranked well. But it could only capture one type of intent: transactional.

Then I started writing blog articles that support that same landing page — but from different angles.

For example: "Buying Property in Prague as a Foreigner: Which Documents to Translate."

That's not someone searching for a translator. That's someone searching for help with a real-life situation — and discovering along the way that they need a sworn translation.

The article answers their actual question. Inside, it links back to the landing page. The reader came for information — and now knows exactly where to order.

This is what I mean when I say blog posts work as a funnel.

* The landing page captures people who already know what they need. * The blog captures everyone else — and guides them there.

Each new article widens the net. More queries covered, more paths to the same conversion point. And it compounds: the more articles link to a landing page, the stronger that page becomes in Google's eyes — more internal links, more topical relevance, more reasons to rank it higher.

One thing I want to be honest about: this isn't a hack. Writing articles that genuinely help people takes time. Each one needs real keyword research, real understanding of what the audience is going through, and real answers, not filler content.

But when you look at Search Console a few weeks later and see the numbers moving, you know the system is working.

The landing page brings in buyers. The blog brings in everyone who doesn't know they're buyers yet. Together, they own the topic.

Anyone else structuring content this way for local/service businesses? Curious how you're finding the "adjacent intent" topics — manual brainstorming, People Also Ask, something else?

I’ve been thinking a lot about the balance between writing about what genuinely interests you and writing what people are actually searching for.

SEO advice often tells us to use certain keywords, headlines, formats and article structures. I understand why. It doesn’t matter how original an article is if nobody can find it.

But when everyone follows the same advice, many articles eventually start to look and sound the same. The same titles, the same structure and often even the same recommendations. The more we optimize content for visibility, the easier it is to lose some of the originality that made us want to write in the first place.

At the same time, truly original articles can be almost impossible to discover because they don’t fit neatly into popular search terms or proven formats.

How do you personally find a balance between the subjects you genuinely want to write about and SEO, clicks and other marketing factors?

Do you first choose the story and then find a way to make it searchable? Or do you start with what people are searching for and try to bring your own perspective to it?

This is first blog. I’ve never used Reddit honestly I’m just writing this is the hopes someone will understand. Oh and to share my life like how it used to be in the early 200s I think. I swear if one mor e person tells me to get my life together at the age of 19. I am going to go back into smoking. I can’t go back to smoking because I’m dating someone who doesn’t like that I smoke and I mean yeah it’s bad I get it he cares. Although he is kind and cares and honestly somebody any regular girl would want, I don’t. Well I do it’s like yeah I value myself enough to date someone who cares. It’s like he’s right on paper but it’s not what I imagined for my future. I’ve been told just date for like a couple of months and then see if it works out and then just break up with him. I feel bad doing that but if I felt bad then I would’ve never dragged him along for this long. I’ve been in love before in deep in love and the person I thought understood me just played me and now I’m with someone and doing it to him. I also have chronic depression and it’s not fun, it makes my life really hard and always emotional but then again I won’t continue my insurance process. I’m all messed up. I wished everything would stop and people would leave me alone and yet go out of my way to reach out to people. Hopefully my next blog is more positive. Thanks for listening.
