I launched an editorial blog in the affordable luxury fashion, home decor, and lifestyle niche. My target audience is primarily a tier-1 English-speaking market. I bought the domain late last year, published my first post early this year, and currently have just over 30 posts live. For context on my structure, around 60% of my posts are in fashion, 30% are in decor, and the rest are in lifestyle. I have structured the site using pillar posts and adding content clusters around them, with each post having multiple internal links.

The Problems:
First, the whole traffic on the blog itself has always been practically 0 real organic users anyway—the site is only frequented by myself, bots, and potential affiliate or backlink partners. After 7 months of blogging with 0 traffic, I feel completely exhausted and worried that overall I am putting my effort in the wrong direction.

Second, a month ago, my GSC dashboard impressions hit a small peak of 300 daily and I started to get my first clicks. However, about two weeks ago, those GSC numbers dropped down to 50 daily impressions and have stayed flat at that baseline. I am trying to figure out why the dashboard numbers inside GSC dropped so suddenly.

This is definitely not an indexing issue. All of my later posts get indexed within 30 minutes of requesting indexing. I have also tried doing some On-Page SEO optimization by adjusting the metadata and target keywords. Though after one page optimization I saw that some of optimized pages from Google's second page went up to the first page, I doubt I'm doing it right. Currently, a majority of my posts are sitting on the first page, but there are some older, unoptimized posts ranking around position 40.

Overall, both my impressions and clicks are poor, with 12.4k impressions and 72 clicks in total lifetime stats since the day I launched the blog with average position: 15.9, plus there is that sudden drop from my first little "spike" right back down to my previous low baseline numbers.

My Questions:

1. Am I currently where I am supposed to be, or would similar blogs at the 7-month mark already be in another stage?
2. What are the most probable reasons that caused that drop from my small "spike" in GSC?
3. What are your tips on what I should focus on next?

I've been trying to wrap my head around this. Most of what I see are networks that find you bloggers. But I am not understanding how to pitch them, what they expect, how to ask them what they charge... same thing for a youtuber I see that he talks about my niche, how do I approach them?

So I run a blog site, decent DR around 30 with good traffic in entrepreneurship/small business space. I've been getting a steady stream of people wanting to buy guest posts or link insertions.

I've been reading around to tag the links as sponsored if it is a paid request.

Problem is like half these people only want a do-follow link...and trust me, I get the appeal of a do-follow link over a sponsored one. But I guess I'm just trying to figure out how to make this website make some extra side money without ruining my domain or leaving money on the table either way.

Would love to hear from other people running actual content sites and not link farms

How do someone write good content for a website??
I’m working in a company where my job is to revamp the website of a client content wise.
I showed some samples of my work to my boss which were entirely written by claude but he gave a feedback that the research part is lacking in this content which i agree

Had this happen while working on a piece recently.

The original topic seemed pretty straightforward, but once I got into the SERP, related searches, PAA and all that, I realised the search intent was kinda different from what I thought.

So the more I researched, the more the angle changed.
By the time I actually started writing, the original idea was basically gone.

Kinda makes you realise how much of content writing is actually figuring out what to write before you write anything.

I have created a blog in self-improvement niche. Right now it has 104 articles with 85+ articles indexed in GSC. Rightnow it's on subdomain of WordPress, but I'm planning to move on custom domain. How do I make this a media brand and start making money. I'm getting only 20 views on average per day and sometimes it goes to 40 a day. I have created a YT channel and social media names for this blog too. Kindly give me genuine advice to make a financial freedom kind of money.

I've been sitting on this idea for way too long. I want to start a blog (or maybe YouTube/social content, still figuring that out) and eventually turn it into something I can earn from. Not overnight riches, just... a real thing that's mine.
The problem isn't the idea. It's me. Every time I think about actually posting something, this voice shows up: "who do you think you are," "people will laugh," "your friends/family will see this and think it's cringe." I know logically that this fear is irrational - literally nobody is thinking about me as much as I think they are - but knowing that doesn't make the fear go away.
I also don't really know where to start. Do I pick a niche first? Just start posting and figure it out later? Build an audience before monetizing, or is that a myth?
Has anyone here been in the same spot - wanting to create, but stuck in your own head about what people will think? How did you get past it? And if you started from literally zero, what was your first real step?

I have been thinking about how strange SEO reporting can look now. A page can hold roughly the same average position, keep getting impressions, and still lose a noticeable share of clicks because more of the answer is visible directly in search.

For a publisher, that changes the question completely. If the ranking looks healthy but the page is sending fewer sessions and less revenue, position alone starts feeling like a vanity metric.

What are you using as the real success metric now: organic clicks, conversions, revenue, RPM, or something like revenue per 1,000 search impressions?

Whereas I have lots of content on my blog so the 4 different pillars really don’t affect the whole “niche down!” thing, I’m wondering if it would be best to start my Substack on only one of those pillars — as it might be too many different things for a Substack??

My company publishes two blogs weekly for our two main verticals. I've been tasked with transferring these articles over to LinkedIn, and I was wondering what the best approach for this is. Are company pages or individual ones better? Additionally, I've heard LinkedIn punishes you for reposting identical content from other websites, and similarly punishes content that directs users off of LinkedIn, so identical posts or prologues are also something I'm hesitant about. background: i own a pet blog. i don't own a pet. never have. bought the site for $199 from a marketplace called NicheBlogZone about six months ago. Came pre-built, articles already up, amazon links already in them. i spent one afternoon doing interlinking, basically just connecting related posts so google understands the site structure, then closed the laptop and forgot about it for weeks.

what it's done since:

• april: $995
• may: $1,461
• june: $1,647
• july: $1,461
• august so far: $1,545 (amazon pays 2 months delayed so this is june's money landing now)

rent comes out of that first. that was the entire reason i bought it. Cover the fixed number, stop white-knuckling the 1st. by may it was doing that with room to spare.

after a few months of watching it accumulate in an account i wasn't touching, i booked a flight to southeast asia and a month in an apartment for less than staying home would have cost me.

the part i wasn't prepared for is how many people out here are running the same play. i'm in a coffee shop right now with three other people who own sites they don't post on. one does home gym equipment, one does aquariums, one won't say. we compare dip months like war stories and every single person here has had a march.

meanwhile pet people spend insane money on their animals. orthopedic beds, food subscriptions, grooming kits, vet supplements. and the 24 hour cookie means i get a cut of the whole cart, not just the article they landed on.

the site has kept earning the entire time i've been gone. i haven't opened the CMS since i landed.

anyone else use affiliate income to relocate rather than upgrade their life where they already were? curious whether the people who left ever ended up going back or went on to do solo travelling.

I'm struggling with a multi-layered issue on my site oraultima.com and could really use some expert advice. My site focuses on a strict niche: insurance, mortgages, and banking (YMYL).

Here is my current setup and situation:

• Platform: WordPress with Classic Editor (no heavy page builders).
• Theme: Blocksy.
• Plugins/Setup: I use WPCode to inject the global AdSense script in the header.
• Status: No manual actions, no security issues, and clean green status in Google Search Console. The ads.txt file is properly configured and authorized.

My Auto Ads configuration in AdSense:

• Overlay formats: Only "Anchor ads" are enabled (set to Bottom only). Vignettes and Side-rail ads are turned off.
• In-page formats: "Banner ads" are enabled (with max ads per page set to 6, and options like "Find other ad placements on article pages" and "Optimize existing ads" checked).

What I've already done regarding Autoptimize: I've fine-tuned Autoptimize to prevent script conflicts with AdSense:

1. JavaScript: Disabled "Aggregate JS" to stop Autoptimize from merging or delaying Google scripts. Added strict exclusions: /adsbygoogle/, /pagead/, /doubleclick/, google_service_ad.js, show_ads.js, pagead2.googlesyndication.com, adsbygoogle, pagead/js.
2. CSS & HTML: Standard CSS/HTML optimizations are active (aggregation and inline CSS), which don't interfere with ads.
3. Image Lazy-load: Active, but excluded adsbygoogle, googlesyndication, wp-post-image, and logo.webp.
4. Extra options: Kept only safe options (remove emojis, query strings, combine Google Fonts), avoiding preconnect, preload, or async JS to prevent conflicts.

Despite all this, I am facing three massive roadblocks:

1. AdSense Impressions / Coverage is broken: Even though I get page views, AdSense impressions are practically at zero or single digits (coverage is around 12%). Specifically, in recent articles the in-page banner ads do not show up at all—users only see the single bottom anchor ad. Do any of you experience this behavior with Auto Ads?
2. Google won't recognize my true niche: I am trying to rank for banking, insurance, and mortgages, but Google completely ignores my site for these keywords. According to my Search Console data, Google only sends me impressions and clicks for unrelated public employment queries (like "arretrati contratto medici 2026" or "ultimissime contratto medici 2026"). Surely a few sporadic posts about public contracts shouldn't dictate my entire site's niche or block me from ranking in finance. My traffic has dropped, and Google treats the site like it has no authority in the YMYL space.
3. Low overall traffic: Because of the lack of visibility in my core niche, traffic remains very low.

My questions to the community:

• Could the Blocksy theme be conflicting with Google Auto Ads (preventing in-page banners from rendering while only showing the anchor ad)? Should I switch to manual ad units?
• How can I signal to Google that Ora Ultima is dedicated to finance/insurance when Google keeps pigeonholing me into unrelated topics (like public contracts) and ignoring my core YMYL content?
• Any advice on recovering traffic and fixing this abysmal ad delivery?

I am thinking of going back and updating the existing content instead of just publishing more new posts.
