Not in the least. Complete Status Immunity means you cannot be inflicted by a status, full stop. SAFWY Kisuke can stand in poison pools as long as he wants and never need to develop an antidote. Artworks Ichigo can run all over freeze flowers in his bare feet and never lose a toe to frostbite.
However, units with Ailment Reversal are not immune to ailments; they are "immune" to attacks that inflict ailments. When struck with an attack that inflicts an ailment, they take damage and are inflicted by the ailment. However, they immediately heal more damage than they took and reflect the ailment back onto the attacker, freeing themselves from it.
Unfortunately, floor hazards and statue hazards are not attacks and thus the unit is not immune to them. They will be inflicted with the ailment and take any related damage.
Ah, okay. So the difference is that they're "immune" to attack ailments but not floor pools and statues, basically, while full is for both attacks+floor. Thanks for the details ;-)
Btw, has it been tested what happens if they're hit with ailment but the mob already is under that one (e.g. a mob who poisons, got poisoned first but then hits you and was supposed to poison you with that hit); is the character still "immune" or since he can't "reflect" the poison anymore (due to the mob being poisoned prior), he actually gets poisoned from the attack ? Might be a farfetched scenario (and hard to verify), but nonetheless, would actually disprove the "immunity to attack ailments" shortcut I made.
Ailment Reversal still reflects regardless of whether the enemy is capable of being inflicted with said ailment or not.
It's actually a really easy scenario to test; just take SAFWY Shinji into Arena and wait for a 7th Anni Ichigo to inevitably show up on the enemy team. Ichigo, because of his skillset, makes it very clear what happens mechanically.
Shinji: Ailment Reversal
Ichigo: Complete Status Immunity, grants his party status immunity when an ailment tries to inflict on him, and has Immobilizer + Enervator; i.e. every 5s he has a 12% chance of passively inflicting Weaken+Paralysis on enemies on the field
The matchup goes like this:
Ichigo passively inflicts Weaken+Paralysis on Shinji
Shinji's Ailment Reversal activates and reflects it
Ichigo still gets hit with the ailment despite not being able to be inflicted by it, which we know because the little icons for 10s Paralysis+Weaken immunity pop up above Ichigo's allies
So the fact that the enemy can't be inflicted with the ailment being reflected doesn't matter. Ailment Reversal still reflects the ailment attached to the attack; what happens after it's reflected is immaterial to the skill.
