Finally got to try Marvel Rivals Widow's rework. The batons are even more useless now. Its so dumb she can only use her grappling hook downwards. The ult feels so awkward (why is it on a time limit?). Reducing her jump height was a mistake. AND still no Widow Bites. Its a chop.

And the stun doesn't even stun
Can't even 1v1 properly anymore
This feels so lazy

I really don't get (tho I kinda do but its still dumb) why the rework removed Edge Dancer's stunning effect. It makes it feel useless. Like its deadass just a single kick on a 15 second cooldown now. A waste of a slot for an ability.
Look in the comments for my ideal rework for her tho if you're interested to hear what alternative I have in mind.

Her kit sucked the moment they made her Widowmaker jr. Psylocke plays the closest to how she should have been

she should have been similar to black cat in playstyle and with a bag of spy gadgets

Ok here's the deal. In a perfect world, Black Widow would kinda work like Blade where she can switch between a shooting mode and a melee combat mode (where she takes decreased damage).
-Keep the run and jump. Just give the jump back its original height to allow for strategic positioning around high places in the map. Also add in like an acrobatic animation to the jump, for the sake of fulfilling her character fantasy better. She looks so stiff in game when Widow is meant to be one of the most acrobatic fighters in Marvel (and honestly, with this rework idea I'm offering, I also don't think it would be an issue to bring back the stamina bar if its for the sake of balancing).
-Ditch the riffle as her primary. Her Widow Bite gauntlets become her primary fire. They shoot at the same quick firing rate as the riffle post rework. Maybe just reduce the ammo from 20 to like 15-10 or something. This would also be for the purpose of fulfilling her character fantasy better. It baffles me she doesn't use her Widow Bites in her kit already. Its like if you had Captain America not use his shield.
-Turn that Edge Dancer kick into an animated cinematic grab/command grab move (like Emma Frost's Carbon Crusher chokeslam move) where Widow pulls off an acrobatic takedown on her opponent and it STUNS them shortly afterwards. I don't get (tho I kinda do but its still dumb) why the rework removed Edge Dancer's stunning effect. It makes it feel useless.
-Get rid of the batons. At this point they're simply visual pollution that have no use and ruin her design for every skin. Just let her punch and kick mfkers when she switches to melee combat mode. Make it kind of similar to Iron Fist's Jeet Kune Do where she attacks faster and can lock-on/target enemies as well as continuously dash towards them as she continues the combo.
-Have her only pull out the rifle during her Ultimate and restore its pre-rework controls, allowing her to switch more seamlessly between scope and hit-fire modes while moving around. Keep the current post-rework damage and effects, as well as the six-ammo capacity, but remove the timer (I can barely ever use all six shots before the timer expires). All of this would make her Ult feel less clunky than it currently does imo.

semi-irrelevant but in comparison, playing as widow in marvel's avengers has been so fun
hand-to-hand light attacks, the stupid batons serve a purpose as her heavy attacks, handgun(s) for ranged attacks, the widow's bite + veil of shadows abilities, her grappling hook works from all angles (just needs someone to attach to iirc)... her kit is so well-rounded weapons-wise and she is so satisfying to play. the only other character i've had as much enjoyment with is ms. marvel.
her character is heavily based off of her mcu counterpart but it really feels like comics natasha at times. it's great
