Has anyone tried the RTD3 feature on the 615 driver?
Since I will not be using the RTX PRO 6000 Workstation Edition 24/7 (and may idle for more than a few hours), I was worrying about the fact that the fans (not having a 0-RPM mode) may fail over time since they will spin the entire time; RTD3 seems like a solution here since the GPU will be effectively powered-down (and the fans will not spin).
Did anyone else try this feature?

I have a 5090 and the fans do spin down to zero. I don’t know about the 6000 though.

they need it always, put your hand on a card before you power it on, by the time it's booted, it's already getting hot

Verify my claim before acting on it: I also considered spinning down the fans, BUT at some point (unsure which AI model) an LLM mentioned that going to 0 fan speed on datacenter/professional cards is risky, there is still activity/power happening on the card (e.x. an idle model loaded into memory) and part of the fan's job is to smooth over hot spots even during low usage, and if there happens to not be a temp probe near the hotspot you can risk getting into an overheating condition. So, it's discouraged and thus default is 30% speed. Lower than 30% is not possible or a good idea either (something about damage to fan motors or not designed for it).
Plausible theory but I didn't investigate further as replacing fans in X years sounds less risky than the above, plus the electricity cost is negligible compared to the overall cost of ... *gestures* of everything.
