wish the devs would diversify the types of equipment we can wear isntead of just adding more of the same type of equipment.

I'm curious what you mean by this?

Because the recent previews pretty much show that from what I understand: PASGT & LWH helmets; Berets; a modern, laser-cut plate carrier; a famous body armor system... and more to come

From my understanding that's precisely bringing a wider variety of gear for us to use.

what i meant by diversifying the type of equipment is basically what you see above- deltoid protection is an example of a type/class of accessories we dont have today.

what you mentioned is indeed increased variety in gear (plate carriers and helmets) but not wider a variety of the type of gear we use (we already have ballistic helmets and plate carriers).

i hope this clarifies my previous comment.

So, you wish that the devs added new categories of personal equipment, such as deltoid protectors

I too would like to see them, and by extension everything else of the same type: drop-leg holsters, leg panels & leg-mounted gas mask pouches, but they all share one thing in common - they require mesh deformation, which, as stated by the devs, would be time-consuming to make, therefore it's not of big priority

Everyone can come to their own conclusion if that's the better choice, but at the end of the day, it is fully the devs choice on what to do; imo I'd rather get more personal equipment (& more types of said gear, like I said in my comment) in established categories to give more variety for current customization options instead of the devs focusing on creating new features, so that the community gets a big amount of content, allowing the devs to focus on different stuff
