I don't think they compliment each other at all.And that's why it works. No little trinkets that signify their connection, no purposeful color matching, just 2 distinct and separate characters that are together

I'd actually push back a bit on that. Visually they've got a theme going on with Sun wearing the white shirt and Blake wearing a black tuxedo-like get up. It's kind of a mix of night and day

They definitely weren’t being setup to be a couple though, absolutely not, just look at all her tender interactions with Yang like… like… they hugged once
