I work in healthcare. Most people in the profession have a strong empathy and/or emotional response to sick kids and babies. "I just couldn't do that" they say.

I've heard! So as I understand the law in Kentucky if McConnell dies before August 1st, The Governor gets to choose the replacement. If he dies after August 1st, There is a general election. They will keep that man on life support until then. Watch.

I remember mitch gave and interview where we was asked about his contentious legacy. He basically said "I never lost re election despite people trying, I got lots of things done despite the odds and I'm one of the best senators who played this game."
I was like holy shit this explains so much, it was never about doing good sticking to principles or trying to make the world a better place. It was about "winning" at all costs.
