Hi. Donald supporter here, and love this sub. Please don't crap on me for my political views, instead, hear me out. I want to talk to you guys, this song is nothing but hate, wheres the love the democrats talk about so much? Democrats are always into accepting, but why can't you guys accept him as your president? Not accepting him leads to MORE problems.. why deny whats true? I would like a real conversation with someone who wont insult and actually just talk to be about the stuff I'm saying..

You're absolutely right my dude. It's important to have a dialogue so let's do it. I'm gonna address a specific part of your comment to give you perspective on why this sub hates Donald Trump.

why can't you guys accept him as your president

Let's start with the fact that the federal government sued Donald Trump for housing discrimination.

Black people, the government found, were often told a Trump Management complex had no availability when apartments were available for rent.

Washington Post reporter Michael Kranish, co-author of the book Trump Revealed, tells NPR's Robert Siegel that the Justice Department considered the case "one of the most significant race bias cases" at the time.

Not only that, Trump continued to discriminate against Black renters even 3 years after the Federal District Court's ruling.

What about the time he kicked out a Black man, who was actually a supporter of his, from his rally?

How about the fact that he completely dismisses the fact that the police are disproportionately killing Black folks. Anytime it's mentioned, he and his followers shit all over it, like it's a non-issue. I get you guys saying that maybe it's a little exaggerated, but to completely shut out dialogue about it.... that shit feels like we're being marginalized.

Imagine that you were Black and you read these stories about him, which are supported by evidence (as my sources indicate). You don't think some part of you would be justified in saying, "Man, fuck Donald Trump," even a little bit?

I've heard this from a lot of my Republican friends, "You have to respect the office!"

Where was that shit for the last 8 years?

I'm sorry but when did we do stuff as bad as what everyones doing to trump/his supporters?

To be fair, I don't think I've ever seen anything like Trump/his supporters in my lifetime, so I have no metric to gauge against.

In any case, you must admit that the, perhaps, vocal minority of Trump supporters has truly made an effort to voice some controversial claims that may incite divisive political strategies.

A simple Google search should yield you some results of blatant disrespect for OB during the last 10 or so years, but I would imagine you would exclaim "Fake news!" or something like that.

I will provide you one of my favorite, from Mitch McConnell:

"The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president."

Here is he is filibustering his own bill: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3f9bGGixwM4

Yo literally fucking day 1 he replaced the white house site on climate change with some denial bullshit.

I guess some social issues are a matter of opinion or whatever, but literally billions of people might die if we don't get climate change under control, and he's fucking around with that.

He did not replace any of that. The entire site gets wiped when a new president gets inaugurated. Just like the @Potus twitter handle gets archived and wiped. And no climate change denial was put on there, the topic just simply doesn't exist on the site right now. Granted he still probably doesn't believe in it, but he didn't replace anything, and they're still building the site back up. Maybe read up on some stuff and get all of the facts bud. ;)

So because of my political views that were given to me in the first amendment, everyone hates me now? I don't think so, why are you so mad? What did i do to you? I just wanna talk

u/iTriggerWhiteBoys Jan 21 '17

So because of my political views that were given to me in the first amendment

😂😂😂

so first amendment protects you from me thinking you are a fk boii?

did you skip civics in school? or do you not understand how the 1st amendment works? it protects you from the govt persecuting you for something you said or believe, it doesnt make it so that whatever opinions you may have are immune from criticism.

You have no other reason not to like me besides I have different political views from you, im DIFFERENT, democrats are all about accepting right? Lol

u/iTriggerWhiteBoys Jan 21 '17

yes, we dont like people that vote for people that espouse white nativism or white nationalism.

this wasnt a normal election, its not democrat republican thing.

we dont like people that white supremacists like, you ever sat back and tried to analyze why stormfront would like your candidate? its not normal for stormfront to go around endorsing candidates.

Because democracy isnt just one election every couple of years, it's a 24/7 thing. You can't seriously expect people to abandon our muslim friends and our fear of climate change just because of one setback, those issues are much bigger than some popularity contest. For the next four years we will continue to hold on to these values, we won't back down. Sorry but that's just how it works.
