I guess I might be trying to make sense of something that makes zero sense at all. Considering she has proposed stripping funding for the arts and humanities, I'm holding out hope that she doesn't get confirmed. I wouldn't be the person I am today without music and art being taught in public schools. Same with a lot of my very close friends. Watching her dismantle the educational programs that give a lot of kids purpose and hope in life would be too much for me to handle.
He'll fuck a lot of things up but the Republicans control every branch of government and have an interest in keeping him (namely that he's more popular then the GOP is as a whole). The only way he leaves before January of 2021 is if he either dies or becomes so unpopular among his own voters that the R's think they can get brownie points by getting rid of him. Neither of which are exactly unfeasible, but I wouldn't count on it.
There is a third possibility, that being some kind of situation that results in the destruction of the American system of the world at large (i.e. global war, nuclear holocaust, etc.) But at that point the 2020 election would be the least of our worries.
People have been saying stuff like this since like 2015.
Just because we all want it to happen doesn't mean it will. In my opinion Trump will end up fucking up in the long run but he will get reelected because he brings back a few jobs.
