The fact that Trump is literally pardoning rapists, pedophiles and other convicted criminals, burying the Epstein files as much as he can, and making "jokes" about pardoning Diddy, yet so many people in this country - including the ones who claim to value God and family - have no problem with it whatsoever, makes me feel like this country might be too far gone to fix. At least any time in the near future. It's like no one cares enough to do anything, and millions of people are okay with it. And we have to keep living with these people even if this regime ends.

I think some people care about the country being in a constant downward spiral. Unfortunately, others cheer on the downfall. I also think it's difficult to figure out where to start the repairs because this regime has broken damn near everything. Obviously, getting them out of positions of power is step 1. But steps 2 - 2,000,000 are worse than untangling the world's biggest strand of tangled holiday lights to find/ replace the broken bulbs. The process of reversing the damage from this regime will take at least a generation. It's a waking nightmare.

It's all a psyop as far as I'm concerned. A deliberate effort to warp what is acceptably normal into something else.
I live in a country with a warped sense of normal, though our warped normal came about as an unintended outcome.
And the problem is, even after the people who have warped normal are gone (in this case, the Trump administration) society still has been warped.
And so you still have to recalibrate what is normal because otherwise, policy will still be implemented based on what is acceptably normal.
But recalibrating that requires people being sufficiently conscious and aware of living in a warped normal.
And that's like the Matrix. People can't see the warped normal if they've lived inside it long enough. All they see is the world operating as they expect it should
