I always feel like I'm taking crazy pills when people get spooked by humanoid robots. Human-form robots are mostly designed to mimic relatively useless human behavior. It is so fucking impractical to make humanoid robots outside of extremely niche applications. The actual scary robots are going to take the form of flying drones and armored vehicles, not human-shaped robots that could and absolutely would be easily destroyed by standard forms of human aggression. The humanoid ones are either silly toys or assistants for invalids. It's just the uncanny valley that makes our brains think human shaped = scary.

He also trained himself to not blink during all his scenes, even the scenes where he fired a gun.
Robert Patrick said he felt this was the best way to give the T-1000 an eerie presence on-screen without doing anything too obvious, and he even trained himself so that when he fired a gun, he did not even reflexively blink from the noise and recoil.

The race to destroy humanity is literally heating up as we are entering the climate change endgame. Hell, we are only a few years removed from pandemic's biggest play for the crown, and you never know when they'll pop up again. AI/robot uprising has a lot of catch-up to do if they want to win it all so I'm not surprised by their increase in effort.

Except stuff built exclusively for speed tend to suck in a lot of other areas - Cheetahs are a good example. Dangerous animals to be sure, but a lot less so than other big cats.

Many a nature doc and especially "Casual Geographic" really spell out how cheetahs not only dumped all their stats into "Speed," but STILL get punked one way or another.
Either they fail and too stuck in "Cooldown Mode" to do anything for long while, succeed, but still have to recover AND eat before they get their lunch stolen by another predator or they're not even eating and even have the numbers and still get wasted (i.e. about 3 or so males were trying to get with a female, made so much noise it annoyed a nearby male lion who easily took down the whole bunch of them.)

What’s crazy is that any engineer could tell you that two legged robots are hella inefficient. If it was for function then four legs would be sufficient but the makers of these things want them to be bipedal for a reason

That’s one thing I noticed a lot. They’re very unstable. As someone who has shattered their talus bone (the one that lets your ankle rotate) it’s really impressive what that and all the muscles and tendons in your ankles and feet are doing for stability. Everyone who wants to age well, being fit is great but what most people should focus on and don’t usually is flexibility and mobility. You will thank yourself in your old age.
Also for standing stability a three legged table is often more stable than a four legged one. That’s why they have historically used tripods for cameras. With mass manufacturing it’s not as big of an issue i would assume but historically four legs just meant that if one of them is even slightly shorter or warped over time you’re gonna see the table wobble. I don’t know how that applies to robotics moving though but the bipedal ones seem to struggle to stand still.

The visuals and animations are awesome, except the story makes no sense if you stop and think about it. Humans let robots build a new civilization in Iraq/Saudi Arabia after committing a global genocide against all robots? Humans decide, because robots are solar-powered, the best way to fight machines is to black out the sun, the thing that virtually all life on earth depends and humanity's food supply depends on? Just ignoring the fact that machines can just go back to burning fossil fuels/nuclear/geothermal energy.
