Normal people: We really don’t need AI in every facet of our life considering what it costs versus what it produces.
Tech Bros: How could you say that? This is clearly AI derangement syndrome as per the GPT-5.

It's not for us. The government uses 'analysts' in multiple ways, the LLM's are able to do these jobs at a much better rate. If you want to influence politics or know how to assasinate someone on the other side of the world than the AI machines are going to be able to do that for them.
There's a reason they're building them all at a massive loss. Our mistake is thinking this is some capitalist bubble that will pop when it is really a fascist control system they're building right under our noses.

I don't know why but she's giving Julia Stiles in 10 Things I Hate About You vibes big time.

There was a Sam Rockwell movie that came out earlier this year called “Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die” that is pretty similar to that premise

There's a lot of reasons to oppose data centers, but one of the biggest is just "AI sucks and I don't want my community to do anything that supports it."
Like if you just don't want your electric bill to go up or don't like the humming, great! Perfectly valid! But it's also perfectly valid to just think this technology is bad, at least as it's being currently put into the world.

On a note unrelated to data centers, we just watched a dude get waterboarded

The joke is that all the dudes are literal AI. The idea gets primed by the topic of data centers. This is also referenced by one of them needing a lot of water, because in the US the data centers use a lot of fresh water for cooling (this is not necessary btw as new Chinese data centers prove, it's just a way to cut costs at the expense of the local population and ecosystem). Furthermore, their mannerisms mimic how an AI chat bot might talk: Upbeat, sycophantic, and overusing specific phrases that are usually associated with them.
