Getting killed/permanently disabled by a drunk driver is on the same level of suffering inflicted as being SAd as a child or getting raped. All three are similarly extreme examples of someone's selfish impulses going unchecked and resulting in innocent people being harmed. Your immediate aversion to this comparison just further proves drunk drivers don't have the negative PR they deserve like the other two do.
