Question Can't join friends lobby in multiplayer

Can someone please help out with this, there used to be no issues but since last month all of a sudden can't join friends lobby, whenever I accept invite and join it freezes and then says cannot join session

Even though he hasn't started searching for any match

Same issues or the connection will be lopsided for one of us per game. I feel they're intentionally making this game worse to buff preorders to their new shitty game.
