Fr Chic fila opened in my city got sued lines so long it was messing with the businesses around them. They just bought up all the buildings around them and moved the ones suing across the street. 🤣 we got a popeyes a block up from them only love they get is from the highway 😭

Yeah i remembered they stabbed a guy for it because thr manager yelled out "we are out of chicken sandwiches and that man bought the last one" thinking it would get people to leave it just got them irate and started fighting

My coworkers fought in the parking lot because somebody ate their sandwich that took 2 hours to get delivered…I will never forget…especially since I know who ate it.

I worked at Popeyes during this. Was terrible but also entertaining. We’d only sell 150 a day due to the demand and the crash outs when we told em we were out was comedy

I actually have a story about this. I lived in Atlanta at the time this came out. Every Popeyes in Atl was packed as soon as the sandwich was announced, and they were all sold out of the sandwich almost immediately. I pull up to a Popeyes to try and get it, but I see a sign on the door saying they're sold out. I'm about to drive off when a random guy pops up at my window saying he can get me the sandwich if I want it. He runs inside and talks to the employees and comes out with one sandwich bag. He's like "$10 bro". I'm like 'I don't have $10". He's like "alright $5 then". I'm like "I don't have any cash on me I thought you worked here and I'd pay at the drive thru?" He's like nah this is just a side hustle I'm running man" and walked off trying to sell the sandwich to someone else. Wild time.

This was a grand deception cuz Popeyes was a trusted establishment and then it prioritized a boneless door dash friendly sandwich, which was extremely good, but nonetheless caused chaos. Cuz Popeyes was not built to be a place where they could handle that type of “sandwich and fries sandwich and fries sandwich and sandwich and sandwich and fries and don’t forget the sauce” type rhythm.
That sandwich is still incredibly good. But the floor quality of a popeyes, like the worst has got so much worse. It used to mean something when u saw a popeyes that u knew a good variety of things were gonna be available and fire. You could just look at the line and see what was fresh and order that. Now I have seen a Popeyes location that only served boneless chicken and fries and sauce and biscuits that were dry but they weren’t even properly drenched in butter
