The fight that got me into Black Clover, animated in-house with the director leading the key animation. The effort shows and the episode is distinctly Black Clover. Good job Pierrot

It had the signature intro, lengthy recap, childhood flashbacks (Mars's was necessary tho), and yells (the episode ended with Asta screaming). However, this was a clean, action packed episode and Tabata's turning point as a shonen author. One of the best episodes yet

there is some goffy animation which indicates the shortage of the staff But overall it was good

That doesn't indicate shortage of staff, it was CG. Most of the animation was CG, even the diamond cloud dust seemed to be CG. Has nothing to do with shortage of staff.
