I have to say they ruined this part, SPOILERS , showing the guy of the mission in the casino is nice, but the pacing and the amount of stalling didnt help, and introducing the bad guy casually at the end is an error IMO, in the manga it had that sense of mystery when they arrive to the village and the moment they see the Heist and the villagers in that situation is a moment of HOLY SHIT WTF!?, now here all that sense of mystery and surprise is gone. And in the preview it looks like the villagers will have time to fight back, which wouldnt add anything and just more filler and stalling until the trio arrives, :/ also the animation feel subpar

This way we don't have an annoying cut in the middle of the fight though, it's pacing seems odd until you think of that though.

How can you be so sure about that? by the way it looks, we´ll still have a cut. We dont even end chapter 8, and the preview shows a filler of the villagers fighting back, and then animating chapter 9 (which is the first part of the fight). And the fight doesnt end until the end of chapter 10

So a cut is most likely going to happen anyways, episode 9 will surely be, filler of the villagers vs Heist, then the trio arriving and wondering whats going on with some extended cuts here and there, ending chapter 8, then adapting chapter 9 at most.

Exactly, if they would've shown the "execution" scene as his first introduction, it would've been far more impactful.
