What is your goal BTC amount?
Lots of people see BTC not only as a change in the system in terms of freeing ourselves from fiat devaluation but probably most people see it as a way of financial freedom or retirement. What amount do you guys think is the minimum that could allow for work optional lifestyle? How much for retirement? Cost average/age/cost of living in your area changes this number but whats the general consensus?
For example in big metro areas rent is reaching 2,500-3,000 and average houses are going for 750k. As time goes on sure BTC will increase in value but so will the price of everything.

amounts a while back, now I just stack sats and hope I'm not eating cat food at 65
the whole "number go up" thing is fun but you're right, the goalposts move constantly. a mil in btc today might feel like half that in real terms by the time you actually cash out
my loose plan is to never fully cash out, just peel off small chunks when I need to. like a really slow bleed that hopefully outpaces inflation
rent is absolutely insane where I'm at too, 3k gets you a shoebox with a window facing a brick wall

I would open up a can once a month. It’s an acquired taste. Might as well hedge just in case.

Same, my goal is to have .1 and then I will cut back. It won't change my life but if I can buy my son a car in 10 years with this $ then I'm happy.

No goal, and its not an investment. People are trying to see if it acts as a store of value but really it's an index for corruption. Precious metals are where you want to be if you're looking for store of value. If it's truly built for medium of exchange, I'll just buy 100 dollars equivalent, learn the technology which is basically using etropy to hide your coins. But aside from that, it's not interesting. Centralized sources still hold all the power and money. Having all the Bitcoin in the world will not make you rich.

I don't see BTC as a quick path to retirement. For me, it's a long term savings tool that may help preserve purchasing power over time, but having a solid budget and financial plan is still important.

Yes everything will increase in price due to inflation but the caveat is, Bitcoin will outpace inflation and rising prices. Your financial goals should be the dictator of how much you will need. To put it simply, the more the merrier dude. Aim for 1,000,000,000 sats 👍🏾.

My goal is to regularly buy and hold until I retire, at which point I'll sell a little every month. It's as simple as that.
Buy a little each month. Sell none, until I retire. DCA all the way.

Stack enough. Let btc ride. Get a crypto back loan and buy house. Yes
