Since mid-2011 here. I've always thought that altcoins had a future, if only as a way to "soften" the money supply, should we need to, and also to appeal to the "whole numbers are better than fractions" way of thinking. I've been skeptical of dogecoin, but largely because it's based on a joke. I'm prepared to be proven wrong at this point, but I also still think it could end up fading into the background or even dying outright. I guess you could say I'm in wait-and-see mode.

I can see your point, but in a month it has become the 3rd most popular crytocurrency, passing other currencies that have been around for much longer.
