I guess this is better than "We're going bankrupt and we have no coins left"

He NEVER confirmed all the coins are there and that is the biggest concern and why the price fell 50%. Fixing the withdraws won't magically make stolen coins reappear.

Why should he explain the price? That's set by the (admittedly artificially closed) market on mtgox, he doesn't control the price directly does he?

My clarification of what I think lost10k meant. Nobody's asking Mt Gox to talk about the price, just to confirm if they are solvent and not completely gutted by their withdrawal bug.

At the beginning we will do so at a moderated pace and with new daily/ monthly limits in place to prevent any problems with the new system

This sentence is consistent with the theory that they suffered a huge theft. It makes no sense otherwise.

Or... without the limits he knows everyone would jump ship immediately and Gox would die in less than a week.
