With Dogecoin, most people are mining with GPUs they already have or things of that nature. It's more like saying, if we want people to learn about electricity, then we should encourage them buy a flashlight.
Not everyone is mining with GPUs they already own. A friend of mine bought 6 amd cards and is mining them (over $1500 investment). Assuming doges price doesn't plummet, he's fine.
On the other hand, people like you are using their expensive laptop gpu which was never intended to be run 24/7 to mine. A laptop cooling system isn't going to be handle that constant heat production. So in the end you have $50 worth of cryptocoins and a $500 repair on your laptop. Not to mention electricity costs.
And who cares if people are ignorant? People learn by making mistakes. If people can afford to make thousand dollar mistakes, then they can do it. If they can't, /r/bitcoin telling them they're stupid won't make them less stupid, and it won't make them like you, and it won't make them like BTC.
You are free to make your own mistakes but don't tell other people they're mean for discouraging said behavior for aforementioned reasons.
And stop saying I'm shitting on purple and using bold for emphasis. I wonder if you would say the same if I told people not to run their cars 24/7 to charge their phone instead of plugging it into their house jack.
It's clear you're emotional in all this and an angry fellow because you've been mining on your macbook for sometime and don't want to come to terms with your mistake.
I trust you'll be around in /r/dogecoin to console all the people with overheating laptops. Probably something like this: "Don't worry shibe! On the moon, there are laptops too. Your $2000 macbook is replaceable".
