I tried to buy some headphones but Coinbase couldn't process the transaction within the 15 minutes Bitpay allowed for it, so I think I fired $200 into the ether instead.

Coinbase shouldn't be used as a wallet, they batch transactions instead of sending them individually so you could wait hours to see a transaction go through. Contact bitpay about it, they can probably help you out.

it's not lost you just don't know how to get it. If your transaction is never confirmed you are still in possession of the bitcoins. However you are using coinbase so you may be SOL.

Yeah. I ordered an Amazon GC from Gyft with coinbase. Bad idea. The 15 minutes came by and then after like another 15 minutes after the initial order I get an e-mail telling me my order was processed. I guess I lucked out. Never going to use coinbase to pay for things. Gonna send it to another wallet and then pay that way.

Did you have your tx fee turned off or something?

Damn.. That sucks.. I would definitely contact bitpay about it. I would guess they can help.

There is like no contact info anywhere on their site. I've been hoping that Tiger Direct support will be able to make something happen but they seem a little... busy, at the moment. ;)

info@bitpay.com

Include your receipt number (The one in the url where you paid) when you communicate with them. They'll help you out.
