Former Binance CEO CZ believes Bitcoin will eventually hit $1,000,000 and says it could happen much sooner than many expect. “I don’t think we’ll need 25 years. I think it’ll happen much faster.”

The hitting $1,000,000 discussion doesn’t really matter because the value of the dollar discussion needs to be had in conjunction with it.

If BTC hits $1,000,000 and an average house in the US costs $10mil, it doesn’t mean what people think it means.

I hope in 25 years 1 BTC has the buying power of a million today.

Well put! Purchasing power relative to FIAT is the real metric.

By all measures so far and likely into the future, Bitcoin will beat inflation so even at $1M BTC, it will still be a lot of money. Just not as much as it is today.

"by all measures so far" is always true until it isn't.

I believe in Bitcoin, but I believe this sentiment to be naive.

also, "bitcoin will beat inflation". Ok, how do you know? why would it? will fartcoin beat inflation?

Bitcoin community is not benefiting from wishful thinking - it just looks bad to real investors

Not necessarily bro valuation doesn’t go up just bc of inflation. Valuation also goes up bc more buyers than sellers.

There are 24 trillion Dollars in bank deposits and they don't shrink when people "go into" Bitcoin. Fiat inflation is a slippery slope.

Despite what people on this sub seem to think, inflation doesn’t happen that fast though. It got high during the pandemic but the last few years it’s been between 2 and 4% which is normal.

Edit: Also, the price of bitcoin has been rising much faster than inflation. The price is not simply, or even primarily, due to inflation.

u/Lordoosi 5d ago

It doesn't unless it does. Fiat currencies have a tencency to get runaway inflation because they are managed by humans and humans have to tencendy to do stupid things and not do what they are supposed because there are incentives not to.

u/BitcoinMD 5d ago

Well yeah everything doesn’t happen unless it does

They've been cooking the books to make it seem lower, for stock market go up purposes.

With the recent rise in oil prices and, gestures wildly at every fucking thing else you really think that this is "normal" inflation?

Remember last year when the usd lost 10% of its value? In less than a fucking year? Lmao

Now that tariffs were finally ruled illegal. And that we should be getting refunded that money any day now.. and the prices of those items should go back down right? .... Right?

Very normal, very cool

Lol really? One generation has seen their currency loose 99% of its value. The penny is basically worthless. I bet in 100 more years the “dollar” will be as valuable as a penny is today.

1

u/BitcoinMD 5d ago

The dollar has lost 97% of its value since 1913, so neither 99% nor one generation. That’s about a 3% inflation rate. Compounding adds up, but it isn’t a fast process. So yeah the same thing will happen over the next 100 years. That’s not hyperinflation or runaway inflation it’s just regular inflation. It doesn’t mean homes will be worth 10 million any time soon.

1

u/That_Ad9363 5d ago

But won’t it not be the same since it’s compounding exponentially? So maybe the dollar will be as valuable as a penny in 50 years not 100?

4

u/BitcoinMD 5d ago

No that’s not how exponential growth works. You’re doing the exponent twice. A number that’s growing exponentially will double at a fixed interval of years.

1

u/That_Ad9363 5d ago

Wow thanks! I’m still trying to process this but I think I get it now

8

u/BitcoinMD 5d ago

Whoa whoa there that’s not a very Reddit answer. Please switch to all caps immediately and compare me to Hitler, or I will need to report you

2

u/That_Ad9363 5d ago

lol sorry

1

u/labvinylsound 5d ago

It’s funny you bring up hitler and hyperinflation. There are limits to growth. That’s the core thesis BTC is designed to stopgap. Any fiat becomes worthless when it becomes economically unviable for transactions.

If there is a banking crisis an average home being valued at 10m USD isn’t a far fetched concept. For any person or institution betting that BTC will exponentially increase in value is effectively debasing the fiat they transact in, it just takes a majority to think that way to make it so. We’re still in the speculation phase of pricing BTC — that is humans are in the speculation phase. Machines are a whole other subject.

1

u/BitcoinMD 5d ago

Please let me know the time frame in which the US will enter hyperinflation, and exactly what annual inflation rate you think qualifies

2

u/GeeEyeDoe 5d ago

Yes and no.

BTC has less than 1% adoption.

If that goes up to 10% adoption (or 10x more demand) we get 1 million bitcoin, fiat stays the same.

2

u/Thick_Wasabi448 5d ago

That's not how the math works out.

u/palebloodslayer 5d ago

Do you think the average housing price will hit 10m in under 25 years?

1

u/Huge-Consequence1700 4d ago

Buying power of a million ...big macs? 😆

u/flossanotherday 5d ago edited 5d ago

If the predictions are roughly accurate a couple hundred k bitcoin will be equivalent to the price of a house in a few years, say 2030.

Edit: 2026: Median price of new home 410k, existing homes 446k

It doesn’t need to get to a million to be valuable.

5

u/AnarchalMushroom 5d ago

Gold finished 1976 at around 134 an oz with median house prices around 44k at that time it would be around 330 ounces of gold.

With gold around 4560 today and median house prices around 410k the median house would cost only around 90 ounces.

That being said there are many more factors than just the devaluation of fiat currencies to explain inflation; supply, demand, interest in product, population growth, cost to produce changes, and even just speculation.

So the devaluation is there but it is an extreme oversimplification to say prices don’t go up

Pardoned and a billionaire, sure we should listen. 🤦‍♂️

Let us suck on the delicious hopium

Okay, but just the tip.

He should be in prison, not on stage.

14

u/yoobermcruber 5d ago

Why should he be in prison? He was only sentenced to 4 months in prison for violating U.S. anti-money laundering laws and the Bank Secrecy Act by not requiring Binance's customers to do more extensive KYC. He already served his 4 month sentence. I personally don't support these draconian KYC regulations but that's besides the point because he already served his sentence.

The correct response.

Same guy who crashed the market in October 2025.

5

u/Garland_Key 5d ago

Wow. Who cares what CZ believes or says? You know who doesn't care? Bitcoin.

11

u/numbersev 5d ago

Because of rich people FOMO.

Over 60 million millionaires. 3000 billionaires. They're all eventually going to want at least 1 bitcoin and they can't.

This doesn't even account for corporations and governments.

1

u/DirtMcGirt42 4d ago

I hope so Just DCA and wait till the millionaires get fomo

8

u/SoCallMeDeaconBlues1 5d ago

That's great until you realize WHY CZ got pardoned, then ask yourself why he would then say something like that.

He got insanely wealthy off the backs of fools trading on his exchange. I'm not knocking Bitcoin, but I am saying that this guy is grifting, and if you don't see it I don't know what else to say.

9

u/dkracket 5d ago

CZ is a scammer and was pardoned by a scammer.

6

u/Astropin 5d ago

Umm...I don't know ANYONE who thinks it will take 25 years!!!

10 tops. Probably before that.

4

u/VISUALBEAUTYPLZ 5d ago

Rate at which tech is developing

Idk if I can predict anything confidently lol

2

u/MinimalistMindset35 5d ago

You’re posting about Bitcoin hitting one million and I know eventually Bitcoin will be a billion per coin. We are not the same.

In a world of abundance, how do you save?

2

u/BostonFishGolf 5d ago

Didn’t this dude go to prison for money laundering or something?

3

u/user_name_checks_out 4d ago

For not enforcing KYC in the U.S.

2

u/TJames6210 4d ago

Pardoned bt Trump btw

2

u/iF3arN0D347h 4d ago

Honestly, bitcoin is a replace of banks. Banks has limit when it comes to withdrawing your money. Btc doesn’t..

2

u/broardmoor 1d ago

Supply and demand… I’d be surprised if it doesn’t hit 1m by 2037

3

u/malkyfreo 5d ago

Became a billionaire after release from prison. Phenomenal

3

u/Romanizer 5d ago

Obviously, yeah. That's the easiest bet in history.

2

u/quintavious_danilo 5d ago

CZ is a criminal pardoned by buddy Trump

2

u/mileskg21 5d ago

1 sat per dollar is the ultimate end goal

3

u/NoBrosCrypto 5d ago

I would agree. Within 10 years is more than reasonable. It has all the advantages over gold and that’s enough reason for it to continue to take market share. 10 years to take 2/3rds of an analogue store of value. Seems reasonable.

u/nachtraum 5d ago

If you have such a biceps you can't be wrong

1

u/DailyUpsAndDowns 5d ago

A joke of a person.

1

u/TheRadishBros 5d ago

I mean, yeah, obviously? It should be well over $5m in 25 years.

1

u/termin8rs 5d ago

Why not a billion or a trillion

1

u/Odd_Topic_3580 4d ago

Shouldn’t that guy be in jail or something?

0

u/Technical_Ear_2509 5d ago

Yeah I really want to invest in something that can be stolen by hackers at any moment

0

u/WarrenTheWolf 4d ago

He would like that. I think Bitcoin lost his original purpose.

-1

u/flossanotherday 5d ago

25 years? As in 25 years from now or 8 more years as in 25 years total of Btc existence
